I just love how smoothly they dance. Until the other day, I never heard of shag dancing, but I discovered it on a video. I grew up on rock and roll and soul music, but I am sorry I missed out on shag dancing. I certainly am enjoying watching the different dancers.

Watching this was such a pleasure. Smooth, perfectly smooth. You 2 were great! PS Watching this again a year later this couple is smooth as butter. Not to take anything away from her but his steps simply ooooze out of every pore. He is definitely in his element on the dance floor. He doesn't look like he's thinking, rather just "doin' his thang," what comes naturally. What a joy it is to watch them.

I went to college in South Carolina and shag dancing (from what I was told) was very popular down South especially around beach towns. I was from Queens NY back then and had never heard of shag dancing or the music. Believe me, it was true culture shock when a 17 yr old kid from Queens went to school in a small city in South Carolina back in the late 70s. A real eye opener!

That's funny you say that because I have a friend from the beach that's in his 50s and his father travels up and and down the coast going to shag dance competitions and they're what's in a beach area

Noena, lol, it is a marvelous dance. It originated on the beaches of South Carolina during WWII. Initially, it was called beach dancing, later South Carolina Shag, then the Carolina Shag, now just Shag dancing for the most part. Old guys like me, however, still call it the Carolina Shag. And you watched Charlie Womble and Jackie McGee. A husband and wife team that have won several national competitions doing this dance. The UK is surrounded by water. Certainly you and some friends can find a beach and practice up on the Carolina Shag.

Just stopped by again and yet again to get my fill of this beautiful dancing couple. ;) Simply AWESOME love the way they both move. ..ummwell itisonlyme...Don't feel sorry sweetheart just remember watching can be quite fun sometimes. Practise a bit now and then in front of the mirror where you don't need an audience and maybe even the pain will lessen and lossen up a bit. . I used to dance quite well ONCE but now just love shaking my butt a wee bit here and a wee bit there. ..just too lazy but yep I walk a lot. Love music actually and can't resist my daily dose. with enough excercise for one day I guess. ;)) Great video, great couple great dancing. Love you guys and thanks for the video pal.

Incredible and beautiful magic of a great dancer. He practically bounces off the floor with his nimble footwork. Love it! ..you're right could watch it ALL DAY LONG and some more too ;)) I don't think he's the kind to play down his wife's dancing, it's just that he's better by far and at times even contrlls his moves to allow her the applause.
