I’m glad you didn’t review the most expensive one that 90% of people won’t even buy. Something I noticed that here in the US the base model SE, which I just got for around 24k comes with all the safety features. It’s just not awd and no heated seats and no fog lights.

Exactly. I am deciding between this and a 2018 Nissan Murano SV. The Murano SV reviews were easy enough to find because it has been a few years since the redesign and it only comes with the 3.5L V6. But for the Santa Fe, I am looking at the base SE version with the safety package, and every review on KZbin only seems to show the fully loaded model with the decked out tech and the 2.0L Turbo 4 engine, which doesn't tell me anything about the driving and handling and real world gas mileage of the base model.

I have the 2019 turbo front wheel drive Ultimate! LOVE it MPG with 3800 miles on it is 28.1 Mixed driving EVERYONE loves it! Roomy and the sun roof is awesome and makes it feel even bigger with cover back. tons of storage and ports too! LOVE IT!!! safety features alone are worth the price. A life is not replaceable!!!

Thanks. What a great video. I live in Nevada and can't begin to tell you how incompetent the team is here....and I mean incompetent. The Santa Fe remains on my list but not from this dealer. Not joking....every new Santa Fe owner should be required to watch this.

Really good, down to earth, review and explanation of features. I just upgraded from a 2017 Santa Fe SEL with Value Package to a 2019 SEL. I didn't even have blind spot warning on my 2017, so the 2019 is like, WOW, big difference. Friends ask why would I buy a new car when my "old" one was only two years old? Well, for starters my new car is much more likely to save my life. Oddly enough, my sales rep didn't have nearly the grasp on the tech features that you show in this video. For example, he told me that the front collision avoidance system would only warn of an impending collision, not actually apply brakes (which is false, as it does apply brakes). Same with the lane keep assist and blind spot avoidance assist: he tried to tell me they only warn, no actual action taken. I even tried to explain that, generally, when you see the term "Assist" in a Hyundai feature description it means it actually takes action and assists you, and not just a warning. But I don't think he believed me. Worse, he seemed to indulge in the idea that "this is too much technology!" He bragged about a prior buyer who wanted nothing of "that crap" and insisted it all be turned off. Sure, there will be customers like that. But it is an opportunity to educate them, not happily help them turn off features that could save their lives.

You're very good at pointing out things even renowned reviewers fail to notice. I guess they've been reviewing too many vehicles to put more effort into discovering just one vehicle. I think Hyundai is one of those companies that pay attention to details. Keep up your good work!

I bought the same 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV back in March but I have the htrac AWD and I luv it Hyundai has really stepped up on the plate!! The AWD system works excellent throughout rainy bad weather. When the highways are saturated with water instead of the weather taking control of your abilities to drive you control it. Meaning you have more control even on wet roads. You can dart around objects or other vehicles without loosing control in rain 👍🏽😁😁

I'm actually loving that dashboard!!! The floating screen and the kind of 2 level look it has. Im glad hyundai has moved passed the model styles from 2014 to 2018 the cars just started looking dull and plain and boring. They are back to being sporty which is why I love my 2012 sonata. It has that curvy sport look. Good job Hyundai!!!!

This is a very in depth video but not accurate to most base model 2019 Danta Fes. I have a 2019 Santa Fe and looked at 6 dealerships before I bought mine. The SE does NOT come with heated seats, steering wheel or the button in the back to release back seats in any I looked at or the one I purchased and have already put 1k miles on in a week. It might be a thing in Canada but in the USA those are not options for the base model SE.

Thanks - I saw some complaints online that said you can't remote start the Santa Fe and have the heated seats come on. Can you confirm? They basically said it doesn't work unless you get into the vehicle and then the seats start warming up
@josiahstearns9615
@josiahstearns9615 4 жыл бұрын
That would make sense. I personally can't confirm that, but it's probably a safety feature that prevents the heating mechanism from engage while the vehicle isn't occupied. I personally don't see an issue with that because even my parents 09' RAV4 didn't take long at all for the heated seats to warm up - and we lived in the North at that point in time. Your question does seem slightly confusing, though. The Santa Fe does have remote start capabilities via BlueLink services on their app from any compatible smartphone. I believe that service comes free for the first 3 or 5 years of it's use. Then I think it's like $10 a month?... Which could be worse. I think that's partly why Hyundai doesn't include it on their fobs. Just one more way to have some more cash flow from their consumers.

@josiahstearns9615
@josiahstearns9615 4 жыл бұрын
Yea, as the others have pointed out, you'd have to buy the Santa Fe XL which is available only in older models. (Pre-2019) Or you can opt for the Palisade. Personally I like all the room available in this 2 Row model. Plenty of cargo space, roomy second row and has a lot of features that make it comfortable for the driver and passengers to enjoy on long vacation trips or just daily commutes to the grocery store, restaurants...etc.
