Thank you for this wonderful conversation❤ Couple weeks ago I was thinking I am that person who has to heal all the the generational trauma in my family but what Shailene just said made me realize that I, and my generation, we are actually the first ones who can really experience and learn selflove, selfrespect etc. and that is actually wonderful and we can be very grateful for that. Thanks for helping me see another beautiful perspective :)

I just watched an interview with Andrew Garfield recently where he was also talking about how exhausting it can be to fully become that person you are trying to be when you’re acting in a role and when the character is going through something really hard you feel like you’ve gone through it so it really can be completely exhausting. (Specifically he was talking about a broadway play he did for a year straight not missing a show) I haven’t heard actors talk about that before and I think it’s a great point to shine light on. I also think it shows just how amazing those specifics actors are as they embody the characters in their roles.

It took me a while to learn to receive 100% love and validation within myself, and stop looking external for that. Mindfulness helped and just going through the hard times. I like that mindfulness book called 30 Days to Overcome Loneliness by Harper Daniels at times.

Olivia. Your eyeglasses match your hair perfectly. Dark on top, lighter on the bottom. Was that on purpose?
