Through two powerful songs performed at TEDxBroadway 2018, Shaina Taub questions “where are the grownups” in today’s society and what our world would be like without refugees. Her inspiring message encourages the audience to become leaders (or “grownups”) in their communities and remember what America truly stands for. Shaina Taub is a New York-based songwriter and performer. Winner of a Jonathan Larson Grant and Ars Nova’s 2012 Composer-in-Residence, she made her Lincoln Center solo concert debut in their 2015 American Songbook series and is currently an artist-in-residence at Joe's Pub. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
