He became an abusive narcissist when I was pregnant with our first and only child back in late 2015/early 2016 and it went downhill from there. We played this song and Together Forever by Shai at our wedding. Never knew I'd be a single mom and divorced ever since a little girl thinking of my life when I grew up. That Black college vibe was so positive. The sad part is that it was more popular with Black people than White. Mainstream culture wanted more of the gangsta vibe, the violence, the negativity...and they got it. I look at the song "Waterfalls" by TLC as the end of an era & a warning. Yeah, life seemed completely different, much more beautiful and interesting. The music in those days really reflected that.If I could get in a time machine and go back to those days any time i want, I would take trips to the 90's or 80's like 3 times a week.

*Mercedes Yoli* Yes, a lot of people feel the same about the comparisons of music today vs those days.These days you might get something that make you feel good that will be something memorable one day but only like 3 or 4 times a year, but back then it was at least half of everything they played on the radio every day.
