When you had that extreme close up of your hands while you were rigging that worm I was thinking you could be a hand model with how smooth and callous free your hands look. Not many hard days work there fulla.

Good stuff mate, never seen that soft plastic worm technique before. Any idea where or if I can get one of those TD zeros like the one at 6:30?
@JakkoDavis
@JakkoDavis Жыл бұрын
Hey mate those zeros are the old models which aren’t made anymore. Might be hard to track one down.. the new model zeros are great but and they have the same models in the range. I’d check them out

Ever tried American style dropshot fishing on the Yella's Jakko? I've taken a few fish doing it including just drifting hands-free, i.e. hand on a cold can not on the rod, with the Tungsten weight just bouncing along the bottom and a sea-anchor out.
@JakkoDavis
@JakkoDavis Жыл бұрын
I haven’t done to much mate. Would definitely work well. Alot of that American bass stuff would be applicable over here we’re just 10yrs behind em

@@JakkoDavis Yeh the skirted jigs also work well early season but I just can't be bothered dealing with the slime cleaning every cast. Cheers.

Cheers mate, yea it feels really good. A fair bit thinner then the jbraid grand so I’d recommend trying it in a little heavier poundage. Eg if you run 8lb for yellas normally, give 12lb ago

I got them the from the hook up tackle in USA mate. It’s a pretty expensive way of doing it, but I don’t think you can get them in aus

Hey Jakko, love your work mate!im heading to windy end of October with my young bloke when it warms up a bit … we’re from Canberra and never been before mate but would love to know what depth is good to pull up to shake n bake a few soft shells? Also if I’m ganna throw spikes on a wind blown bank do you normally fish a bit closer/shallower? Keep up the good work pal. Cheers
@JakkoDavis
@JakkoDavis Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, anywhere from 2-6m is ideal for shaking soft vibes. Spot hop points until you find active fish. If you continually move around points you’ll find a few fish. Often you’ll get 1 or 2 and then it’s on the move again. Yep hardbodies I like to fish a lot shallower, cast them right up right to the banks. You’ll be amazed how tight/shallow they get. Goodluck with them mate
