I'm looking to buy my son his first Kart in a couple of months for his 10th birthday, he's been practising every week but we are renting a kart currently from a team that helps train children to help him get upto speed and he now looks about ready. I've been looking at what other competitors are using in rotax and it seems to be dominated by OTK, I sometimes wonder does everyone just jump on the same band wagon thinking that's the kart to have because everyone uses it. Personally I like to look outside the box for something different that can give you that edge, that's why I'm looking at Kart Republic, I also hear some good people from other kart manufacturers have moved over to kart Republic which sounds promising if that's true. So my question is would kart republic be a good choice in your opinion.?

Kart Republic is an excellent chassis that allows for many adjustments, it is also very sensitive to the various setups, if you are followed by a professional team it is the right choice otherwise I would recommend a Tony Kart, which are extremely competitive and easy to set up
