Does boatswain love anyone or anything?

The most interesting choice is to say yes, everyone loves someone or something. At minimum, you could probably say he loves sailing or the ocean. We don’t get to see enough of his interactions with the other characters, but in performance, if the actor wanted to decide that the boatswain loved one of the other sailors, that could certainly be something fun to play with in sly glances, or arm touches, or wanting to stand near a certain person or whatever. The most interesting choice is to say yes. The fun part is deciding who or what that is 😊
