I can finally help!!!! Jamil! Please let me offer a suggestion! It is the way we catch escaped horses! Think of it like a recipe I share rather than being told what to do, because it is offered with an intention to help. Teach them to come to you to take a treat from your hand while in your home after calling to them, and start, not after they have run away, but under ordinary circumstances. To teach them over time. Make what you offer to them something special, even if it must be something sweet like a fruit flavored jelly bean or a dried fruit they love but only get at that time. And always call to them using a special call, so they learn you are calling to give a treat. Only give one treat at one time... but don't catch them! Then after they are well accustomed to learning this and they do come for their treat reliably, you might want to teach them to let you pat their shoulder very briefly at the same time as they have their eye on the treat, which is in your other hand as you are passing it to them, to make it easier for you to reach out and grab them later, if they ever get loose. Because right now you are just training them to come to you. Make is so they always connect the sound of the call to their getting a treat, and don't scold them when they come. THEN if they ever get out, call to them in this special way, pretend you are not mad at them for getting out or doing a bad thing, and let them come to you for the treat or you go to them and hold it out to them. And as they come for the treat, relax and don't give away the fact that you want to catch them, but once in reach then grab them, as gently as you can without them getting away. Then if they like it, cuddle them and tell them how good they are and try to distract them from the fact that they just got caught. And be sure not to scold them once caught, to increase your chances of getting them next time. Catching them then scolding and punishing them ensures you won't catch them next time. This is a frustrating thing, but we must accept that it is our failing when they get loose not theirs, this way we don't feel the need to scold them. If you can catch them gently and continue to make them anticipate getting a treat with continued practice, hopefully you will have another chance to grab them, each time they get loose in the future. I hope this helps. Training horses to anticipate and come for treats has enabled us to prevent a tragedy if an escaped horse ever were to run out to the road and across in front of oncoming traffic. I hope I am helpful by offering this. : )

They would rather be living here, in FULL COMFORT, without starving, when they can't find food or being attacked and beaten by higher ranking macaques or killed by predators. The wild isn't always, better, just because of total freedom. People don't have total freedom, but would rather live, where there's rules, rather than, in the wild. Think about it. If they get hurt or sick, they go to a vet, not in the wild, it can be a death sentence.🤷

We do too! Me and my bf have taken up so many things that Jamil says...and how he says it and use it regularly. We sing the Do do do do dah do do song. We say SAYANG now to our pets. That wasn't a smile. The only primates that smile are humans. Chimps have a form of "smile" which is more of an open-mouthed grin, but without teeth showing. Every nonhuman primate only shows their teeth when angry or scared. So Shakina was _not happy_ about being constrained. But I have a feeling something else had Shakina freaked out and that was why she was running all over the place.

She kept,going back to where it was familiar to her… I truly believe if Jamil had stopped chasing her, she would have gotten bored and came back…
