how can you not love the Gretsch sound? my Fairlane Blue 5420T has been with me since not long after they came out, and I love the sound and feel of that guitar! I'll have one or two lovely Japanese-made Gretsch guitars before I leave this world, because they're simply fantastic. :)

I’ve had this guitar for about a week ,I’ve loved it since I saw it watching Namm highlights..Last week I finally found one and at the dealer I do 90% of my business with and went to spend some time with it fell in love with how it sounded and looked and I had brought my Brian Setzer 6120 lacquer to compare ,I didn’t want to duplicate what I already have.Very different guitars imo ,though the BS has tv Jones pu,’s the new Gretsch Filtrons were hotter and punchier and’ wide open pushed all my amps tubes considerably more.This thing sounds awesome and when I change strings I’ll appreciate the string thru Bigsby

I never thought I’d have any interest in a Gretsch. Now I have 2 and wanting more. I’m sure the top of the line are amazing but the electromatic and streamliners are cheap, well made and great fun. Do yourself a favour.

It's the Gretsch G5420TG Electromatic 135th Anniversary. So this is the Korean made Electromatic version.
