Hahaha yeah I really struggled to remove the handle took me a couple of days to understand the concept and finally remove the cover to find the screws, mind you I was also stressing not to break it as it was spanking new.

Sounds okay for music. It has very good clarity and top end, so it's excellent for podcasts and such. For listening to music it's meh at best. Bass is very weak considering the size, weight and power. Now that I am seeing how small the drivers are in this teardown, it makes sense why. It's not worth the list price of $200. Not even close. Costco sells these for $120 and for that price it's worth buying, IF you don't already have a BT speaker. Because to be honest it's barely any louder or better sounding than a $100 first generation Bose soundlink flex or whatever, which only uses a single driver. The amount of shilling and over the top marketing this company engages in, also blocking all negative reviews on their site, are red flags and hugely off putting. A few years ago Soundcore used to be a solid bet for good value. Not the best stuff but worth the money. Not so much these days. You'd expect a $200 soundcore to hang with $400 stuff from other brands, but that's not the case. Not even close. You can easily get better stuff for the same price as this thing.

Great job on tear down this well built speaker, because of this video I got myself one... It does have a mic so you can receive in coming calls from your phone. Speaker does sound very good

But having bought mine for personal use close to a year ago & then having listened to it for a grand total of about 1/2 hour ever since (meaning that it is still fully functional & cosmetically, in mint condition) I would be absolutely chuffed to accept a quarter of what I originally paid for it brand new. Simply because I think that the overall sound it produces is incredibly overrated.

I wish someone would fabricate a cover for the sides for after you remove the handle. It is really dumb that they didn’t make it removable. The handle is the only thing keeping it from fitting nicely in my camera bag.

Interesting how small. Battery they decided to put on such a larger portable speaker. Pretty well designed and put together. Nearing overkill in screws padding and epoxying the connections. a quality product.

25:28 I believe that is a bluetooth chip, DAC is most probably under the heatsink next to which are the two capacitors. Wireless chips are usually on separated PCBs because of interference.

what happened to the cone driver for the spacial sound skydriver? looks like it melted or got all warped? after the heat to remove that battery, it lost its concave cone shape. this will likely affect the sound it is now producing.

$200? I paid today's equivalent of $1000 for a 19" RCA color tv in 1983. There's a lot of circuitry and labor via screws to assemble that speaker compared to say, a Bose Flex. If it holds up and has a quality battery, it's a good deal. Sound quality makes it a killer deal. Except for battery replacement difficulty.

Thank you Saar, the driver was accidentally damaged by excess heat from my heatgun while trying to loosen up the glue. It's still functional it just doesn't look great esthetically, I'm glad it's covered. Things I do for you guys 😄

Very tough question, I personally can't answer this one, they are slightly different in build and sound quality. I believe it all depends on what you are looking for in a Bluetooth speaker. The main bid difference is where are u planning to use it mainly, if it's on a desk then X600 if it's out and about then the Charge 5. The x600 doesn't feel that it can take a tumble on the ground, again this is my opinion.
