Such a great module, but is there an easy way to record a pattern that starts on the first step? Like wait for input to record.... Almost every pattern I record have a few empty steps in the beginning so it doesn't sync well with my sequences when I trigger a reset.

This is such a great module, that still completely baffles me after reading and watching everything about it. Maybe it just needed multicolour LEDs over the buttons to help work out what is going on? nevertheless its my favourite way to play modular drums and im thinking of building my own.

I find the UX on all of their modules severely lacking with hidden menus etc.
@naakkve10 Жыл бұрын
@@joshk2181 been struggling with 4 bricks rook for over a year and absolutely agreed. The documentation blows and the UX is nonsensical. I'm frustrated that this video is effectively the manual for 4br. I love the module for the few things I have it doing but it's awful to have to sift through this video to understand basic functionality

It syncs ok with your daw but it starts at a different place when you stop and restart the transport. I’ve spent hours trying to do this so anyone who knows how would be most helpful.

Hi! What is that black clearly LinnDrum-inspired module? It's labeled "L-Drum" too, but couldn't find anything when searching for that name..

Does it only fire trigs of a pre-determined length, or can you hold presses and fire gates of the duration of the press?

Is there a swing function? Thx!

I just got the module and I have a really hard time to create beats; If I feed it a 140bpm clock from Pamelas new workout it quantizes all the beats onto the 4th notes, so no 16ths or anything. I have to increase the clock multiplier to give me more quantization options, but then the lengths are cut in half and the inbuilt tables are sometimes at unusable speeds. There is no obvious way to create ratchets in a quantized way with 16th notes that don't sound completely off kilter. is there a possibility to increase the quantization "resolution" so to say?
@ShakmatModular5 ай бұрын
Maybe the ppqn on the Pamela's Workout is not set properly ? If you want 32 steps with a 16th resolution, the Pam should send a 4ppqn clock.

@Shakmat I would love to learn more about the internal structure of the Tables or how they are programmed. Can we load our own tables from an external editor, like over SD card or USB?

I appreciate the technical capabilities and possibilities of the module, but I find the user-friendliness to be extremely perplexing. The instructions provided are not clear and the instructional videos only serve to further bewilder me.

Its cool and I appreciate the effort but You are doing all the moves wayyy to fast. Like lightning fast which makes it super hard to follow.
