I think you should just trim up that one pine tree in the back and leave the smaller one alone. That smaller tree looks like it could make a nice Christmas tree (but don’t cut it down). Throw some decorations on it in the winter, it might look cute.

maybe extend the circle at the base of the tree so it goes beyond the branches , that way no more branches to fight...i think i would want to keep as much of the tree there for privacy

I think once that little tree grows up, you’ll regret cutting the lower branch’s so high of the other one next to it. It will make a nice privacy fence. You could make a more defined mulch bed under it and include the little tree. Just put flowers or flowering bushes for now until the tree gets big.

Once you cut those branches, they won’t grow back. Trees grow up from the top

Hey Nate. Great video.🙂 Making the circle more defined at the bottom of the trees sounds like a great idea. To make lawn mowing more enjoyable, I’d trim up the bottom branches on the big tree and put very low maintenance bushes in for privacy

Trim the big tree and define the circle, leave the small one be. It blends well into everything.

the tree does look like a good privacy barrier sort of thing, so cutting branches would open things up for neighbors to see potentially. If you fully removed any trees you might get less shade in the yard too. I can understand wanting it more circular under the pine tree, but it looks decent the way it is too, from my perspective.
