i don't think anyone will ever see this, nor care about this comment, but it seems like an old enough video to reminisce on and pour my heart into. the first time that i heard this song, it was the day of my grandfather's funeral. i was in a diner having lunch with some quiet family members, just rolling around in my thoughts and spiraling noodles around a fork. i was never close to him. nor did i ever have the chance to be. thoughts like these flooded my head. eventually, i could feel tears welling up in my eyes and excused myself to the restroom. on a cold day, this washroom was welcoming with nice heating and chairs for waiting. i sat myself down and listened to this song. i dont necessarily think this song was supposed to mean anything, lyrically, but its gently pushing tempo calmed me down from invasive thoughts of everything that i should have done. im not sure for how long i was in this bathroom after this song finished, but i know that i was finally coming to terms with the fact that there's nothing that i could do to change, and that's okay. i just need to calm down and think at a calming tempo. thanks for reading :)
