I’ve never caught an ocean fish or been spearfishing but the episodes with his dad are priceless. I took my dad on Mille Lacs lake in Mn for a small mouth bass guided trip the day before he started chemo- he caught a 6.5 lb 21 inch smallie that he was tickled with. I’ll never forget that day. I wish you all nothing but the best

Having grown up in Florida I love the shallow stuff, and I feel sorry for people who don't know what saltwater is like. I lived too far from the water for a few years and I hated it. Had to move to the Chesapeake Bay area so I can fish and grow my stinky little plants legally.

We are in the keys right now and we love it. Took a boat out from Robbie’s to Alligator. We had 2ft seas but it was dead clear. Even run out to about 65ft and was able to hop in and see the bottom. Let the kids catch about 25 grunt with shrimp. We had a blast! I don’t get to dive for fish this time but maybe one day, that’s a life long dream!

Nice work Aaron, I have been avoiding hitting these shallower bay spots since the main target turns out to usually be mangrove snapper that should be 'heading to the reef to spawn', during these later summer months. Your recent videos have been making me question what thr books will tell ya that shallow closer to shore waters are better in the winter and deeper water further out are better in the summer. There are no fences in the ocean I guess, the florida keys are a unique fishery.

i'll be honest I never added up the receipts! lol , But you'd have to do the work aftermarket yourself. its not something they offer, and unfortunately most of the stuff needs to be done while the boat is in the mold still being built to be able to run rigging and such under the floor. Unless you did it down the side rails.

As someone who is slowly introducing spearfishing to my 9 year old son, the shallow dives definitely feel more accessible for us. It’s something he and I watch together and talk through doing the things you are doing. The deeper stuff is fun too, of course, and I have done some dives like that, but it actually loses his interest faster because we really don’t talk through the process as much. All of the videos still get my views, either way 🙃
