Hi!❤️ My grandfather’s girlfriend is a hairdresser and she told me one of THE MOST effective hair straightening tips: when you go in with the flattening iron, strike with it twice in the middle of the strand of hair, and then one long one on the entire strand. That way it doesn’t burn your hair as much.

Some people just don't want you to be great 😘 I used to sit deep condition under the dryer every time I washed my hair (1x a week) and my hair grew to the longest it's ever been (mid back). Keep the hair at the nape moisturized and seal in the moisture. Cornrow that area until it grows out to the length you want. Be sure to use satin pillow case at night to avoid any friction around your edges and nape. As a matter of fact, avoid any things that would cause friction/dryness in that area. Hope this helps.

Beautiful! As for using the kitchen sink for washing, wash raw poultry is far worse 😂. When my hair starts breaking at the nape, keep it oiled excessively. I add it every day before I comb or brush. Eventually it grows 😁. All hair grows, you have to focus on stopping and preventing breakage 🥰

This is the first time I saw someone else with my hair type. I’ve always struggled with my hair type because it’s weird. Like you said the longer your hair gets the loser the curls are and it looks damaged but in reality that’s it’s natural state. So happy to have came across this video.

As a white man who is attracted to afro/Caribbean women I have struggled to understand the hair culture. It was a bit of a shock to find how much wigs are used. I thought it was a cultural pressure to use straight hair, and I felt sorry that you had to go to so much trouble. I have always felt how beautiful your natural hair is and how many styles can be achieved. However, seeing this beautiful hair being made straight has removed that culture barrier. Women love to look after their hair, and it is rightfully called their glory. Seeing this hair being straightened through the many stages was so relaxing and effortlessly done, not only was the result beautiful, but I found it was any easy choice to execute. I say " away with wigs " and hello to that beautiful natural hair whatever style you go for, it's all beautiful, (I hope I haven't offended too many people here!! Not intended) great respect. P ❤👀

OMG It was a pleasure watching you do your hair. This is how mine comes out with a silk press. I have 4c hair and the shine, weight, free-flow, thickness is gorgeous. I really had pleasure watching you do your hair and the outcome. I give thanks to my hairdresser, my own two hands and a salon I visited in LA some decades ago. The best advice and outcome from these three things. I haven't had a silk press for over a decade now, and have not done anyone else's. I have my friends I may ask to do theirs as the results are beautiful and can save so much more than buying weaves; providing it is cared correctly. Lovely to watch, Take care Peace

Wow. I don't think I would have the patience to do all of that. I wash my hair, condition, put in an oil based leave in conditioner, let it air dry. Sometimes I'll straighten it but I generally just put it up for work. If I have a night out or a function, I'll straighten but there's no way I come do what you do. That takes patience and results are worth it! Beautiful. (And who gives a fudge where you wash your hair! Don't worry about it or comments on it. Its their jealousy at such a beautiful hair result!)

I hadn't heard of some of those products and probably wouldn't have given them a second glance on the shelf. I might try some out when I finally get brave enough to do my own silk press. If you can find dupes that are more natural I would love that. I desperately need a trim since it has been more than a year (since before the CV.) Maybe that can be one of your upcoming tutorials. Your hairs looks very healthy and strong. You might want to considering doing a hot oil treatment ever so often with olive oil and a steam cap or a hot towel (old school.) Also, your videos kind of remind me of Mahogany Curls when she first started out. Your sub to view ratio is amazing so you will definitely hit 10K before the end of the year. Keep at it!

My hair is the same as yours. As it gets longer my curls get more loose and I only put heat on my hair once a year, 2 the max and it's only for a trim. I've definitely had heat damage before and know the difference. Ppl are crazy lol. The sink is the best place to wash your hair. Who wants to deal with wet hair and body just to do a blow out the process to do the hair is already a lot. Do you girl, I don't know anyone who hasn't had their hair washed in a sink. Very beautiful results, doing my hair tonight!

I noticed the nape of my hair grew it's best and quicker when I tie my scarf starting from the nape and not the front of my hair. I then tie the knot on the crown right behind my edges. I then tie a separate scarf, starting from the front to back. Not too tight just taught. I treat the nape of my hair like the front.

Your hair is beautiful! 😍Both natural and pressed out. I would like to suggest doing a hair mask or using a deep conditioner with heat for about 20-30 mins with each wash especially since you said you have your hair in braids for long periods. It would really get moisture to penetrate deep into the cuticle😊
