Bangladesh had a proper cricket structure and were professional cricket players whose only job was playing cricket and that is not the case with the USA team. With the population and level of craze cricket in India has + all the wealth of BCCI which is greater than rest of the cricket boards put together, India should be dominating world cricket as hard as the Aus team of early 2000s. The fact that India hasn't won a single ICC trophy in a decade is insane and hardly believable. Don't get me wrong, India is pretty dominant bilaterally and rarely loses outside of knockouts, but the fact that tiny countries like Aus which have less than 2% of India's population can even compete with India on an equal footing is crazy and makes us a gross underachiever, especially when cricket is not even the biggest sport in Australia lol Subcontinent countries and to some extent middle east countries as well suck when it comes to sports. Look at olympics, tiny countries like north korea with population of 3 crore and zero development win more medals than India, a country of 140 crore people. We don't really have any sports culture so its not surprising, but cricket is a big obsession here, so I at least expect us to dominate in that. Maybe it just comes down to the fact that subcontinent people are not gifted athletically in terms of genetics

South Africa vs Zimbabwe group match was washed out by rain and DLS method was not applied as 5 overs were not completed if only one ball was bowled SA would have been declared victorious and would have gotten full points and even after losing to Netherlands they would have marched onto the semifinal. Pak was superbly lucky in that tournament.
