Drinking plenty of water every day, my hair feels nourished and stronger. Staying hydrated plays a role in hair density. I also combined this with usage of liittlleextra cocooinnion shampoo with natural hair oil. This did wonders and the amount of hair I lost decreased by 90 percent.

After a week my hair looks like it did when I was 18. It's soft, full, shiny, and glorious! I also followed the rinsing advice and it's like a new world. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

As someone with textured, dryer hair, I never shampoo the lengths of my hair. Just my scalp. If I feel like the lengths need to be cleaned, I use a gentle, conditioning co-wash. I don't care how "moisturizing" a shampoo claims to be, even the professional ones strip my hair.

On the last tip -- be wary that you can get acne or back-acne from conditioner residue if you wash your body with soap before rinsing your hair, and aren't doing a final, all over rinse to get rid of said residue...

Hi Gaby! I just found your videos. Thanks for the info! I'd love shampoo, conditioner, and leave in detangler info please. I'm 53 and post menopausal and my hair is falling out like crazy. When I brush it, or shower it falls out in chunks. My hair is mid length, Wavy, somewhat fine. I color only twice a year and I'm brunette with some gray hair. My grays are scattered like highlights. It does frizz especially with humidity. I rarely use hot tools. I mainly wear in a bun. I'd like volume, bounce, and shine. I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thank you! 💛

Hi. Don't assume menopause is the only culprit. I had the same problem. My hair would clog the drain every time I washed my hair. Turned out I had a thyroid problem (not unexpected common as women go through menopause or post menopausal) AND I had vitamin B12 and D deficiency. 6 weeks into treatment for all 3, my hair stopped falling out! It's starting to grow back, now! 🤗 Please get your thyroid checked (T3, T4, Tsh, Free T3) and your b12 and D checked. These are very common conditions at 53 and menopausal or post. The sooner you find out, the more hair you'll have left. Please get these checked. Good luck, Kikipeak! ❤

Okay I have a couple things I'd like to say I don't know but that scalp brush scares me a little bit because I have fragile hair and I feel when you wash your hair you should be gentle you should get in underneath to the scalp and gently massage your scalp gently all the way around and gentle because you hair is WET and you don't want to lose more hair than you have ... ❤️ Another thing is wringing your hair out you don't want to wring it out because you could also be breaking hair when it's WET so squeeze it gently this would be better than wringing your hair out while it's wet.. And I would suggest using a wide tooth pick or a regular pick to comb your hair out instead of a brush at ALL it's just not good to use a brush at ALL while it's WET a wide tooth comb or pick is much better in my opinion then a wet brush even WET brushes can be damaging in opinion and when using a comb or a pick always start from the bottom to get all the tangles out then work your way up... And lastly when conditioning your hair you should rinse your hair out then wash your back and your chest because conditioners can leave issues on your body for some like myself like back acne and other areas even on your butt so wash your derriere your back your chest and cover those areas after you rinse because you want to get that conditioner off of your skin..❤️

I wash my face and hair before I wash the rest of me, in the shower. I condition first, too. Then I put it up in a shower cap, and finish showering. I started doing that when my hair was falling out like crazy. It helped.

1 - Fine hair crew, learning that there's more stages than dry, wet-dry (that frizzy I left my hair in the hair towel too long), and wet :P. 2 - was a trick double because I use a shower bar! I swipe it over my head in lines (about 4 over the top of my head, front to back) and it seems to do a good job. Same thing with the conditioner! And the bars last forever (LUSH Seanik & Big). 3 - I wash my hair almost every day (because it's usually limp), at most every other day. Do I still need to double shampoo? 4 - Time to massage my scalp more :O 5 - I feel like I do this in the shower...mainly just rinse until it feel's squeaky. 6 - I do this! :D

Hey Mariana! When you’re searching for a shampoo, look for shampoos that says “volume”. Those are shampoos that will pump up the hair strands and stay away from shampoos for smoothing because it will be way too heavy for you. Go for the shampoos that are mid-high price point and don’t buy herbal essences or the super inexpensive lines because they don’t have quality ingredients. Drugstore is fine as long as you’re selecting higher quality drugstore brands.
@sunnyday86282 жыл бұрын

Hi. I'm not Gabi but thought I'd tell you what I used- Loreal Serioxyl shampoo. It's also worth while making sure you have a decent diet, taking general multivitamins if needed and go to your Doc to get bloodwork to check your thyroid is working correctly. If you're on birth control or have switched brands this can sometimes have an effect too. Stress is also a big factor.
@LDiamondz2 жыл бұрын
@@Zephyr315 Wow, you sure know what your talking about! My hair was falling out so bad, I would clog the drain in the shower, and even just sitting, shedded hairs would be all over me and whatever I was sitting on. I lost about half my hair. I felt tired, had dry skin, also. Turned out, I had an overactive thyroid (due to too much medication for an underactive thyroid), a vitamin D deficiency AND a vitamin B12 deficiency! Doc put me on rx D, B12 shots, and most importantly, treated the thyroid. Within 6 weeks of lowering my thyroid medications, my hair stopped falling out. It's now starting to grow back, but it could take up to a year. You gave excellent advice! That's not always the case on yt. Thank you so much! ❤ Also, I only washed my hair once or twice a week, and used a pic, not a brush or comb on my hair when it was falling out. It helped.

What are your thoughts on the recommendation for those with wavy/curly hair to load the hair with water while conditioning?
@GlamGirlGabi3 жыл бұрын
I think that hair is a sponge. If you want the conditioner to penetrate into the deeper layers of the hair, you need to ring the water out. If your hair is full of water, the conditioner won’t be able to go in and make a difference. Curly hair is very prone to being dry so it’s very important that you get the maximum benefits from your conditioner. It only makes sense to me that for it to work well, you need to get rid of some of the water.

The worst offenders for not washing out all the shampoo are hairdressers! Ugh! It's my pet peeve when I go to the salon. Maybe one in 20 hairdressers I've seen have actually rinsed all the suds out of my hair. They always leave the back corners with wads of shampoo behind my ears and it itches.

@GlamGirlGabi3 жыл бұрын
You still want to use a conditioner in the shower to get maximum benefits in regards to the health of your hair. If your hair is fine and limp, consider using a volume conditioner that won’t add weight or bulk. You can still add a little leave in conditioner after the shower if you want but a leave in will weigh your hair down more then a regular in shower conditioner.
@kassandra58963 жыл бұрын
I agree with Gabi. I have the same type of hair as you and I stopped using leave in as even a little bit weighed my hair down a lot. It made it look dirty right after washing no matter which type I used, even when avoiding my scalp. Once I ditched the leave in conditioner my hair looks way more voluminous! You should use a regular lightweight conditioner made for thin hair in shower and skip the leave in 😘

Wow! NO! Not everyone should wash they’re hair twice! I have color treated, naturally curly hair. I use sulfate free, sodium free shampoo so there’s no sudsing to begin with because it’s sulfate free. Sudsing comes from the sulfates. If I were to wash my hair twice my hair would be so dry it would break off. Maybe if you have oily hair you can wash it twice but absolutely not for dry or processed hair. I am shocked that you recommended that.
