I say this every time...You Rock, Shana Meyerson...Goddess Queen! Though my practice lacks some of the handstands that you are so good at, I teach advanced vinyasa flow and I crack up every time I watch your vids because...we have very similar teaching styles, and we say and sound verbatim exactly alike. I have to laugh. You're so funny and emphasize exactly the right things at the right time. I can't tell you how many times I've given the "don't jump to plank! Ever! ever, ever, ever, ever, eva eva eva..never neva neva (channeling Chris Tucker) EVA..EVER!...jump to plank again!" lecture. Also, you make me smile SUPER big when you do your signature move (I've seen it in every one of your videos) -the "flip both braids back at once"-asana! FWAP! You're adorable. Thanks for being YOU.

Many thanks: Watching some of your videos has given me a bunch of tips to get more finesse in common transitions, many building toward the elusive handstand of course. ;-) (I am willing to be patient. It took me half a year from feet popping up in straddle fold to go with control to headstand (and months more before I could do it in the middle of the room).)Jump back to chataranga... using the hop to engage the core - that clicked with me. It should help my pursuit of a lighter landing.Down dog to low lunge... looking forward, going to tiptoe, and taking my knee more toward my shoulder than my neck... let me get my foot those last few inches forward. Don't ask how I was compensating ;-)Jumping forward from down dog... now I'm practicing hitching my feet up along the way. And, looking forward past my hands (instead of just between them) ::consistently:: let my feet land between my hands today instead of just behind.Also, I deeply enjoy your conversational teaching style. Those are today's takeaways, gonna keep rewatching and watching over time. Thank you so much for making and posting these videos!

Thank you so much for posting this video! Sadly, I know a few teachers who will say to jump back to plank - aaaah! This set of instructions - including why plank (haha - Kumbhakasana of phlankasana was probably invented by a western yoga practitioner) was inserted into sun salutations - should be required viewing for all yogis.

at first i thought it was one of those reverse-image issues that come up for some people sometimes when vlogging live. and when i saw that the aum sign on the wall wasn't reversed, i assumed that u physically turned it over for filming; until i noticed exactly what ur shirt said, then i figured it out haha
