Coming back to this after the most recent animation is really interesting considering Larus didn’t start out as a god either. I wonder if part of the reason he embraces it so much is because his dad’s sacrifice is the reason he has his life and status

I think Larus perceives him reincarnation as a god so easily due to himself young age, and the loss father only due to old age, unlike Mariza, who in the process of becoming a god lost everyone who was a block to her (I really hope that the translator doesn’t let me down, I don’t know English well)

Larus seems to be acting like Mariza's bad influence, telling her all about the wonders of indulging in the luxuries of godhood. He appears to be arrogant, but not in a rude way. It also looks like he sees mortals as beneath him, which feeds into his arrogance. But we also get to see that he feels emotion just like the rest of us, when he seems to be hurt by something Mariza says. That shows us that he might see the people's worship of him as a sort of validation, which may be a hint towards insecurities about who he is, which could then mean his arrogant personality is a front. I love when writers give us these characters that have hidden layers that make them that much more relatable.

The expressions!! First thing I noticed was how generally apprehensive Mariza is about this whole thing, while she tries to put on a confident face (and at times she genuinely might feel more confident) the doubt about the whole thing can't help but creep back in. Larus is trying his best from what I can see, but he's aware that it's not quite working out. And when those two seem to be enjoying themselves the energy is so contagious!! I really enjoy this, and while I can't say I fully understand this, I really like what I do get.

First, more content has been granted, rejoice oh children of ocean idiots. Second a few of the details I really liked, (Note info used in this is from the tumblars which may be out of date to your current itteration in the every changing and evolving story you beautifully weave) The ocean reaching out to catch Miriza as she falls just makes me think moana but with more amnesia. The constant moving and repositioning of her tail is just terrific and the gesturing alongside her hands is just great. The backgrounds are beautiful. The scene changes are smooth and superb. Bartholomew. The look larus gives on the line 'when you're a sham' like theirs just a grain of pain in there put also saddness that there isn't much other way, (eg Ebeko's cult not changing its worship of him from his acedentaly tempermantal early years). On the matter of Ebeko I like how his vissage is quite disimilar to his true form, its fire not Cool magma/obsidian, his worshipers are stuck in the past not his now, also the robes are just perfect for a death cult, the long sleavv ends shortining the hoods that jut out backwards the geometric lines and nature of it just screams cult and its so subtle. Finally the scene at 0:55 showed a face of the sun, if all the other murals are roughly to scale then HOW BIG ARE THEY???!!! I mean the hand was one thing those withered decrepid digits, and the rough scale was eye opening but, just, please I ask little, just knowlege, Please? A dripfead of lore to make me hunger more? To be Breif, OIDHBIneirudsjnhfbidjsnouhsdfjvkjpnWHYISITSOGOOD, Have a nice holiday season whatever that may entail, lovely animation.

This animation style is really interesting. Only some parts of the main characters are colored, so despite the background is really rich on details, you never lose the characters on the screen. Cool feature - it's good both for the viewer and for the animator (they'd definetly spend much more time on animatics if these were fully in color).

I could never understate how much I love these animatics of this OC world y'all have made. I wish I knew, well, everything I could about this world. I get visibly happy whenever I see you post one of these. The characters are so dynamic and have so much personality that I can't stop watching them. But unlike Mariza, it was a gift to save his life rather than a curse. As far as I’m aware, here we get the first depictions of the gods of fire(lava? Volcanoes? Looks aren’t super distinct enough to tell) and nature(land? Life?) Also, when the (Goddess? God? Of the Moon? Celestial bodies?) appears it is always heralded by the world becoming darker, as well as clouds rushing to cover the stars, perhaps hinting that all the other stars are (lesser? Godlings?) or that any other source of light distracts from the Moon God(dess), maybe showing that they are vain? (I’m no good with interpreting stuff) All in all, a good show as always! This animatic really expands on the world and deities that rule over it. (Although I can’t help but notice that for a small amount of time, there is a rather large statue in the background, is this something that every god gets, or is this god in particular held in higher reverence, maybe in this particular temple, or is it across the religion(? What’s the proper term when the gods are proven to be real?) as a whole?)
