Bob Didlboc the difference between those scenerios are that the girl in THIS video had already knew her job was gonna be gone in a few weeks The situation with ulta was completely ridiculous and ulta had the nerve to apologize and tried to make themselves look good by saying they had talked to the girl (that previously worked with ulta) and everything was alright

10k is more than anyone working at Toys R Us is going to get from unemployment. You can only collect unemployment for 26 weeks and when I got unemployment, it was about $225 per week. not nearly 10k

Asia Cannon Since what you get is partially computed off of the job you lost, probably very true but it's still a consideration. Doesn't matter now. He gave her the money anyway and she may be able to draw unemployment. She's probably much better off than she would have been. Of course we don't really know her financial situation overall.

*Guys, put yourselves in her shoes for a minute.* There is a multitude of reasons why she didn’t take the money. *First of all:* She only knew Shane through her sister, she didn’t know him really and SHE’S not the fan, her SISTER IS. Sorry people seem to be getting confused. *Second of all:* She’s not a fan and Shane randomly walking back in the store chasing after her, looks weird to a human being that DOESN’T KNOW the other human being. She didn’t accept it because she doesn’t really trust him, and she was also skeptical. That’s really f*cking sketchy man and she probably didn’t want to go to HIS HOUSE _that night_ and bring her 10-year-old sis to do a video.... She actually did what any human would’ve done and declined because she didn’t know him, didn’t trust him, he looked sketchy (for all she knows this is a prank for his channel), and it was _just a LITTLE_ offensive. Also there’s the fact that any future boss could be watching the time where she went to a KZbinrs house and burned her uniform from her old job. But it does make for an amazing video. 😂

Shane still gave the girl money, for no reason other than he felt bad. She took even though she did nothing for it. Of course i feel for the girl since she had to find her own new job and all of that, but she just didn't even try with Shane or anything and still took the money. Shane also realized how offensive and creepy it was and i don't doubt he apologized or something, he felt so bad he just gave her money, for no reason. Sorry that was very repetitive.

Half The Heart i don't get your second opinion. You can't really say she doesn't trust him. I mean, she literally cussed in front of him and had a detailed conversation about how she works at a shit show. For me when someone I just met looks for me, I would just think "Oh i know this person I literally just talked to this person. I think he's looking for me. Hmmmm. Everyone saying they would take the money arent thinking about the future. A) If you are in the video and your face isn’t blurred out then that would have serious repercussions on you trying to get another job, like no one is gonna hire someone who would quit for a sum of money to chat shit about their company. B) If you file for unemployment right after toysrus closes then you can get way more money for a longer period of time (legit until you find a new job).

She didn't do it because it would probably cause problems with a future Job and also had she kept her job like she did she could apply for unemployment which depending where she lives would pay her more that 10,000 in the long haul

In California, she can collect a little over $11,000 from unemployment if she is unemployed for the maximum time they will pay you benefits which is 26 weeks. She would end up with more money in the long run just taking the 10k and finding a new job as soon as possible. Then she would have 10k, plus her wages. Although, Shane shouldn't have really presented her with the dilemma of quitting her job. It would have been nice to just offer her 10k since she is losing her job soon anyway. That way she could have 10k and also collect unemployment, while looking for a job.

stores are technically private property so they're allowed to stop you from filming, they're private property that allows the public in for certain hours, but they can control how customers act in the store. also a lot of stores don't like filming merchandise because of pricing competition. That being said, you probably won't go to jail for filming, but if they ask you to leave and you don't, you can get arrested for trespassing. (sorry, i just finished law school)
