I've been binge watching you guys all morning and craaaaacking up...💛Adding to the plastic conspiracy theory... It was invented in the 50s, so people are just guessing it'll decompose in 300 years but we can't know that for sure in our lifetimes. The polymer size is bigger than that of naturally occurring beings (like dinosaurs) so natural decomposers (like fungi) can't decompose plastic naturally (that's why microplastics are so prevalent) so it could be that it's just pilled up everywhere and people are cruising around looking at plastic mountains.
