This was the very best commentary EVER! So nice to just watch a match without someone putting in their opinion about what's going to happen next.

I could see and feel the mutual respect these 2 players had for one another. Lovely match to watch.

Shane is one of the best sports ... when in his prime...he would sit strictly still never even blink while his opponent ran 7 racks on him...just waiting for his chance...knowing he would take control winning 11 straight

Nice match and very good film editing. I was impressed with Truong's play and his sportsmanship. I look forward to seeing more of him.

Great match! No stupid commentary, just pure pool. Sometimes, that’s what we want.

I'm glad for tournament videos, the highlight clips make you think they make shots %100 of the time but they still miss stupid ass shots like the rest of us mortals 😜

22:00 I felt for Shane there.... he didnt wanna hit the ball full on.. cause the two might also go in... just so happens the angle was too much for it to hold

4:26 did he miss this on purpose? i don't understand...
@bradstephan78866 ай бұрын
I don't understand, either. Was he trying to play safe for some reason and miscued?

Why does Shane always have that shitty attitude when the guy misses and leaves him a tough shot? Shane does it to others all the time.

You’re right, I get SUPER excited when I come up to the table with a tough shot when my opponent doesn’t do it in purpose. It’s literally my FAVORITE thing about pool.

Shanevmissed easy 9 ball...let opponent right back in match 7 to 7 ...and woudda had him 8 to 4 ...just bear down on that easy nine

Great match but it’s really sad what matchroom did to the sport by making the pockets so small. So many types of shots and positional play taken away. I counted 5 shots in this match that were tough but could be made if the pockets were just a quarter of an inch wider. This game was never meant to be played like this. Just takes too much away and forces safety play over skillful cue ball spin. 😢
@ardhanar41456 ай бұрын
That was done by matchroom to nerf players like SVB, gorst, ruiz, etc. Additionally, it increases competition.
@bradstephan78866 ай бұрын
I like tight pockets for professionals, they should not be slopping shots in.
@BMZdirect6 ай бұрын
All it does is favor odds for the fundamentally consistent players. When you go below 4.125 pocket size, you take away the ability to play shots off angle and force position by utilizing spin and cheating the pocket. This results in decreased shot percentage and choosing to play safe instead. So now what you are left with is a match where instead of a key ball or cluster in a difficult rack is beautifully executed by showing knowledge, skill, and stroke genius; you’re watching a match where the players are playing safe and kicking at the ball to see who fouls or sells out first. That’s not how this discipline of pool was meant to be played.

@@BMZdirect Good points. So, 4.125 is the minimum for skilled play? What size are the openings in this match? Thanks.
@BMZdirect6 ай бұрын
@@bradstephan7886 they say 4” exact but it really measures out to about 3.95-4.00
