58:42, It's as though the commentators are specifically told not to blame the refs for slug racks. That was obviously a horrible rack. Ok, it wasn't a perfect hit, but there was still a ton of energy in that break. My guess is a gap between the head ball and the one behind it on the left, and probably a few more. Dude these refs need to tighten up, this is a pro tournament for 75k first prize and theyre over here racking like APA 4s.
@txtmodcarlo Жыл бұрын
As u said it's not that good of a hit hard to assume that it's a slug rack given the break shot he did.
@Arthur-nr5ci Жыл бұрын
@@txtmodcarlo You didn't read my comment. Even if the hit wasn't perfect, that's still Shane Van Boening hitting the break with 70-80% accuracy at full power. That was a slug rack, and if you can't see that, you're clearly not a player

@txtmodcarlo How is me pointing out a slug rack making excuses for Shane losing? I even mentioned a specific time. What at all from what you've read suggests I was making excuses for Shane losing. Based on your responses, I'm going to guess your teenage years aren't that far behind you.

@@Arthur-nr5ci The more you comment the more you sound like a fanboy, I'm not saying the ref is going to be perfect in racking the whole game it happens since they are using a triangle, what if it's a slug rack are you saying the ref did it on purpose?

@donkeydiehard879 Жыл бұрын
Once they start banning players for playing matchroom he won't be. WPA has 4 events a year and doesn't pay close to what matchroom does. Only players who are going to remain in WPA are players who government pays them stipends through their local federations... Mostly Asian countries and possibly a couple European's like Germany. BCA doesn't do 💩 for Americans. They're going to have 15 year olds playing in these tournaments next year.

I dont understand svbs break or most pros breaks. They say they hit just above center on the cue ball but when he aims and strokes before he hits it hes very low on the cue.
@ktosdad Жыл бұрын
He’s grounding the cue right to the bottom of the cue ball to make sure the tip is right on the center axis of the cue ball and there is no side spin, then brings the tip up on the final stroke. Seems weird, but it a lot of strong players do it and it seems to work pretty well.
@davidbehrens4760 Жыл бұрын
A lot of players, including Shane, drop their elbow while moving their body forward on the break, which brings the cue tip higher.

@trentonsellers7600 Жыл бұрын
@@bungaloebill4433 8 ball nor one pocket are mentally challenging nor considered mentally challenging I'm not even sure where you got this from, 9 ball and 10 ball would be considered the most mentally challenging games along with banks, you get out of line or miss a shot in 8ball or one pocket the game is more than likely over because of all the balls your opponent can play, you get out of line or miss a shot in nine ball now you've just screwed you and your opponent if hes hooked or a bad layout to begin with then its all brains to bail you out with some of the best safetys you or your opponent has ever played, your most likely to dry break in nine ball than 8 ball as well, and if no one has a shot you're right back in the hot safety battle. 8 ball and one pocket is the easiest games in pool, the only point 8 ball becomes even remotely challenging is on a bar table and even then you still have so many balls to bail you out its almost a non issue, if you have the ability to pot 8 consecutive balls without running into anything, YOU'RE FINE!
@siloporcen Жыл бұрын
yeah 8 ball is can sorta turn into Solitaire very quickly. pool pros are pool pros, and really there are soo much underground talent in pool cause all you need is some decent foresight and some geometry knowledge, which honestly is not the hardest set of skills to develop if you have time to devote to the trade. pool skills get ingrained into muscle & subconscious memory quick if you train well. tbh i just like watching Van Boening play 8-ball. he has a cool & brutal mental model of Billiards in general. and i agree 9-ball is the far better than 8-ball any day. it's just far more stressful lol.
