Its all about the moolah not the cars, not the drivers, just the show SVG is of no further use, so burn him off. NASCARS gain. Shanes gain. $$$ Mind blowing $$$$ Give 'em a show, and pocket the dough SVG. And avoid returning for Bathurst co-drive, unless V8 SUPERCARS CORPORATE pay huge appearance fees. REAL Race Fans (not neccessarily SVG fans) won't be ''sending him off',' they be watching and cheering him on. Go you bloody Kiwi the Yanks think you can't do it. Apparently its hard. And only they can do it.

Great interview with Gizzy & unfortunately the Aussie Media is Supercars biggest downfall as they just want drama & not good quality hard racing without the bullshit. Loving watching this after being able to see how America have taken to SVG with his humble honest interviews and podcasts. It’s great seeing Shane relaxing, engaged and able to be himself without the worry of being canned and publicly ridiculed by commentators or journalists. The biggest f u to Supercars has been how American media, and drivers have taken and embraced SVG. Absolutely stoked for the Champ. Only want to see him back in Supercars if him and Scott come back to battle it out one last time, seen as 2021 would have been one of the best Championship battles, but SMac left us short.

SVG is going to be a future champion in NASCAR and the first one from down under.

Not saying it can't be done, but it's a longshot. The only driver in the modern era to come from another series and do anything of consequence is Tony Stewart who is one of the greatest race car drivers of all time in any series. He also had tons of oval experience from his dirt racing days and some from Indycar. If he were to stay in a lower series for longer, I'd say he could win one in Trucks or Xfinity, but Cup is a totally different beast. I'm not rooting against him or anything, I'm just speaking from the perspective of a life long NASCAR guy that has an understanding of the sport. It's going to be really tough just to get an oval win, let alone a championship. I do think he's skilled and experienced enough to do well though.

As a NASCAR guy my whole life, there are some media aspects that I don't like, but for the most part, especially now with social media allowing actual fans to be like journalists, there is a certain level of respect for the drivers and just love for the sport that comes across in how they go about interviews and writing stories. Sometimes the TV media gets really annoying because when something happens they just keep bringing it up every chance they get, but other than that, it's pretty good.

Quick note for Shane: We do have fences here, however they're usually used when there is a pool (its required by law for safety purposes) and/or when someone has animals or their neighbors do. Sometimes it's just for the aesthetic and/or the added privacy it can bring. However, if you're renting, it's really on the landlord to install or upkeep the fence, which is why those properties tend not to have fences.

Production companies please take note of how close motorbike races are compared to cars…. Aerodynamics is good but I bet you some of the best races in Australia have been in a lot slower cars…
