It was great to see shane score for the last time. The thing I find slightly greater is the reaction by James O'Connor. You can tell that Shane had a tonne of respect worldwide.

People like Shane, and Jonny, you know, players from the early 2000's, were part of a matchless generation of players that may never be replicated. The quality of international rugby around the time of the 2003 World Cup when these players were at their prime was unbelievable. I hope that the new generation can be just as good.

@wool69 I would disagree. Jonathan was in a CRAP wales team in the 80s, but for the scarlets, and in rugby league, he was a genius. check out his try vs australia in league. very similar to shane actually

@Makhecha Shane would not only be a dead cert for the greatest welsh xv of all time, but probably worldwide as well. at least in the top 4 with lomu, davies and campese. shane williams could actually, dare i say it, be the greatest welsh player ever. though i think he's only an heir to that throne.
@jamborossrs13 жыл бұрын
Why is he retiring? Another year in him at least IMO. Maybe 2.

Funny cause Carter has had the best players in the world around him since he begun, Like to see him with the 8th best side in the world in the 2007 world cup and get them to the final oh wait they got to the quarter final and lost to France. Plus Wilkinson has had his career destroyed by injuries still getting 91 caps, Just saying. I think S.Williams was a great player just saying i hope England do something like this with Wilko when he retires from rugby completely.

another defeat from wales vs a big nation... but i'm incredibly fan of S.Williams. we need tiny, quick and intelligent players in rugby, there is place for brain and legs rather just muscles. he is joining the "tiny hall of fame" with guys like jason robinson, dominici, gregan or cullen

For a year Wilkinson did! he lost 2 years through injury as well and was never the same he's recapturing some of that form now but he's 33 now and retired from England. Plus in 2007 England were so shit and he carried them single handily to a world cup final beating Australia on the way there. Something you Welsh can only dream of, I know you beat us but your never gonna make the step up to the top 3 cause your mentally weak. Plus we'll lose the Lions tour due to too many welsh players.
@Iukeeey13 жыл бұрын
