Advice for the girl asking about things moving quickly on their first date: Be cautious. This is a narcissistic tactic that people unconsciously play out. In the very beginning they are extremely charismatic, it feels very natural and they are magnetic. Narcissists use a practice called love bombing where they make you feel like you are their whole world very early on but this will change over time. Eventually the high that you bring into their life will come down, and eventually the narcissist will start to view you as the problem in their life not their joy. Do some research into narcissistic behaviors and programming. Narcissists literally program you. So just be cautious. That kind of behavior on a first date shows immaturity, mental instability, and is a RED FLAG. I experienced this myself with my last partner of 3 years. Literally what she was saying was my first date with my past partner.

@@Laura-CX24 My 6 year old is also autistic! She’s nonverbal & had a huge delay in rotary skills. Watching her operate & just seeing how smart she is, is fascinating! Especially her communication. She communicates totally different than the average human because of her not being able to speak words. But the communication she does is her normal, & I completely understand it. Some may think what she does is minor & no big deal. But for me, that’s a huge accomplishment for her considering a lot of it she taught herself so she’s able to let you know what she needs/wants. She knows a couple words. Even though doctors swore she would never speak. But the words aren’t clear. It’s been a really slow progress. But that’s okay. I know she will continue to pick up more. & even if she doesn’t, I’m still a proud momma regardless for what she has accomplished so far! & it’s been amazing to watch her!

People self diagnosing creates SO MUCH misinformation and just adds to the stigma. I hate it so much

My comment is for CeCe... That's narcissistic behavior and it's very common for narcissists to make you feel like they're your knight in shining armor, they seem a perfect match, they talk about marriage ect. They seem like good people. The fact is narcissists mirror the good traits of the other person involved. Narcissists need someone who is an easy target for them to destroy and all the while you have no idea what's happening. Narcissists need someone for their own purpose and you'll be used, manipulated, and your spirit could possibly most likely be broken. CECE proceed with caution on all levels, I know from experience my ex husband was just like that "good guy" and at the end of it he threw me away like garbage. Narcissists 100% hate boundaries so if you set some boundaries with this guy and he gets upset or extremely angry just know your dealing with a piece of shit narcissist.

This! My narcissistic extremely physically abusive ex did this when we first started dating. I was 18 and just graduated high school when we started dating. I had confided in him that I was being abused by my family, and he started to act like my knight in shining armor. There were a lot of signs I didn't see while dating him, like us walking into a jewelry store while walking around the mall and him automatically going to the wedding rings in the first couple weeks of our dating. About a year into dating him, I finally couldn't take the abuse at home by my family so he said hay move in with me we have been dating a while and it would be cheaper rent for the both of us. A couple months after living together I became pregnant even though I was not ready for a baby and I was on birth control. I had gotten pregnant far before I wanted to because he had tampered with my birth control. After finding out I was pregnant he asked me to marry him and I agreed. Then he told me that we had to move to a different state because he was offered a job making more money there so we moved and I was cut off from everyone I knew. We were married in that new state and I had the baby and then he completely dropped his façade and became very physically and mentally abusive.

CiCi!! Beware! I dated online for a while, and the one guy that wanted me to marry him on our first date is now in jail for kidnapping a woman, stealing her jewelry and taking her across state lines. Another guy wanted me to be his girlfriend and we had not met, and I’m not ugly but this guy looked like a supermodel so I did a background check and he had a record for domestic violence. I'm so sick of the autism trend lately. Not everyone is autistic just because they're introverts, intuitive and have anxiety. It's madness at this point. None of the ppl on this podcast truly have autism. -Shane is an INFJ empath. The ANTITHESIS of autism is empathy. -Jared is simply an ENTP personality that loves exploring ideas. He still has normal level of empathy and understands social cues. -Chris is very emotionally sensitive/empath. -Ryland is VERY aware of what is socially acceptable/unacceptable. That's why he's always on Shane's butt about watching what he says.

My husband and I are both on the spectrum, and we both appreciate the discussion!! Interestingly, I was diagnosed with ASD earlier in life, but my husband was diagnosed just this last year. He definitely has the hyper-focus, which has really benefited him in a lot of ways at his work. I'm a teacher, and I never thought I could achieve that goal. Thanks for taking time to discuss!

Shane I actually just discovered misophonia.. my whole life I felt anger toward certain noises and not knowing why. I can relate to you on that level. When I tell people about it they try to dismiss it and say I don’t. Since A kid noises like windows being down or people clearing their throat bothered me so bad. Thank you for making me feel seen and that I’m not just crazy! It is a real thing and it triggers me so bad.

The misophonia thing is so real. And it’s even more frustrating because some people I’m not bothered by but some people seem to make so much more extreme noise. Anytime Ryland eats on camera I have to fast forward, same with Morgan actually too. I watch a lot of cooking channels on YT and whenever they eat and breath into their microphone to taste their creation after, I always want to scream and then just end the video short. Some people just seem to eat, swallow, chew, and make mouth sounds at a much louder level than others. My mom makes me want to pull my hair out and rage when eating, chewing gum, constant mouth sounds….I just can’t handle it. I always remove myself from the situation. I don’t want to make anyone feel bad for something that I know is my own issue. My dad though, silent as a mouse. My husband is fine most of the time but chewing and eating certain things drive me nuts, and he’s accepted this and finally gets it lol. Even my own chewing of certain things drives me nuts. It sucks so much.

My now husband of 5 years & I met 9 years ago. Within one day I was moved in with him (basically stayed the night & never left), I was pregnant within 2 months (our son was 6 weeks old on our 1 year anniversary), now we have a daughter as well & we are legitimately a happy couple. All couples have their issues but we definitely are meant for each other. Our son was not an accident by the way, we both told each other we wanted kids & made a decision to stop using birth control. Everyone said we were nuts & it would never work but it has. I would however NEVER advocate for someone else doing this. I know from personal experience how little you know about someone early on. My marriage & my children are NOT mistakes, but making permanent decisions quickly IS a mistake. I got lucky, the person I moved quickly with just so happened to be my soulmate. But that's one in a million luck.

There is actually a case where this guy met a girl and instantly started love bombing her. After 2 months they got married and he immediately started stealing money from her and being incredibly lazy and rude to her. Then after she got pregnant he convinced her to get life insurance and ended up pushing her off a cliff and she almost died. Luckily she lived and was able to press charges against him.

My partner is on the spectrum and if you can handle it, the honesty is SO refreshing. He will always tell the truth about whether I'm annoying him, if he wants space, if he needs something from me. No hinting, sulking or mixed messages. We discuss things, make a compromise and move on. He doesn't hold grudges. As a massive otherthinker his black and white logic is also so helpful to me! I honestly don't think I could go back to having a "normal", neurotypical partner ever again!!

I'm on the verge of tears. When you guys started talking having weak stomachs, I confidently thought to myself "nah, i've got a stomach of steel", which I usually do in most cases. I SHIT YOU NOT, a couple minutes go by and I realize that the bag in my hand I'd been snacking on is FILLED WITH BUGS!!! I've been snacking on this bag of dried goji berries about a week now since they're healthy and blah blah. Since I'm a lazy piece of shit, I just keep the bag on my nightstand (sealed with a peg) instead of in the kitchen pantry, and reach for it whenever I'm feeling peckish. A week. I have been snacking on bugs without realizing for A WEEK. I immediately threw away the bag, started crying, and vomited. Anyways love the podcast guys, cheers.
