Guys, I'm not a member of the fire service. But every fire fighter on the face of the earth has my highest respect. While I can't speak for everyone, I don't watch these videos for entertainment. I feel if I'm watching these and thinking about these brave men and women, then they can never be forgotten. To Fire Fighter Shane's Family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Ill never ever forget these events. I was on tanker 6 from Bradley county we were called in as mutual aid. Its truly hard to put to words I didn't know Shane personally but after having the honoring experience of meeting his close friends an family I felt like I knew him my entire life.The support from the fire communities an the community in general was insanely amazing. Thousands of people where in this funeral hundreds upon hundreds of fire trucks where in this procession. Rest in Peace brother hard to believe its been 8 an half years already. Seems like yesterday.

Very nice tribute, my friend. I was also very impressed with the stopped cars on the opposite side of the road, showing respect. While this video is sad, it does make me smile knowing there are some decent people left in this world. RIP, Mr. Shane Daughetee.

This is one reason why I have such respect for our fire crews no matter where you are. One day the family and I were out having fun taking train pictures. We happened upon REHAB truck 1 from the city of Columbia Fire Department. These guys stopped what they were to doing to show my three kids and my wife and I around and inside the truck. People these guys took time from their busy day for my family. To all the fire crews, Thank you, I really mean it. To our fallen, I am sorry that your gone.

A similar event happened at the San Diego State-UNLV football game in 2017. There were two ladder trucks with a huge U.S.A between them. They paid tribute to all the concert shooting victims. I remembered that as the firetruck drove under the two ladder trucks.

Im so sorry for your loss. I live in Western Washington and we have had our share of loss over the years. This has been one of the worst. In a history that includes losing four firefighters in an arson wherehouse fire, we are now dealing with six police officers being murdered in the last eight months. Four of them in one horrible minute. I will always keep all public defenders in my thoughts....every day!

I was on a ride along a couple weekends ago and we stopped at the station in this video i am a police explorer and it made me cry to stand there and see his light and everything just the way he left it it was a touching thing to see and i miss being in his presence R.I.P Shane.
