Your shrinkage is crazy!!! And speaks to the health of ur hair 😍 Fun tip: rubbing aloe on the ends and along the shaft would have reverted the hair easily, provided you're not allergic to the plant... I did this last week w my daughter as a pre-poo following a press out for the holidays as well 😊

Considering you had a pretty good heat protectant on your hair, the silicones are supposed to block out any type of water/liquid/cream. The waiting process for it to revert back is like anxiety through the roof. 😅 I always shampoo not only scalp and roots but everything because that silicone can be a pain to rid.

The cut/trim did wonders for the shape of your curly hair you can tell its even with the different drying times. I am convinced I would benefit from a silk press after my protective style challenge ends at the end of the year.

Definitely need the stretching video!! I have thin/fine strands and I messed up my wash-n-go by over-stretching! It was so stringy. Luckily it shrunk back up within 2 days so it wasn’t an extreme fail!

I had my hair straightened 1 month ago because it has been cold in Ga plus I wanted a trim. I do water aerobics and it has remained straight for the most part. I clip it up all away, put a big satin bonnet on, then a large plastic cap and it has remained straight. I only flatiron my hair once a year. The first time I wash my hair,it does not fully revert back but the second time, I'm back in the house. I'll admit I hold my breath with that 2nd wash but my stylist has not failed me yet

For some reason, clipping all my hair away keeps my hair straight. I use one of those big banana clips and don't leave any hair out. In addition as noted I have my hair flatironed in the winter which makes a BIG difference for me

Excellent video. Your silk press did last a long time. I tend to do the same when I get mine silk pressed (about 2 to 3 times a year, it is just so easy to handle when it is straight. I always keep Creme of Nature shampoo in my stash and I also use Giovanni tea tree conditioner and shampoo, the shampoo tends to dry my hair out so for my second wash I use a moisturizing shampoo, then a deep conditioner. Your hair is always beautiful.

2 months. My hair begins to curl at the roots by the end of the week because I work out but Kudos to you. I recommend to do a olaplex intense treatment before doing the silk press. It does wonders with the itchiness and keeps my hair soft even when reverting back 👌
