Center for Moksha Studies (previously Advaita Academy) is pleased to be back with 5th Edition of Global Festival of Oneness (GFO2024) celebrating life, teachings, and legacy of Jagadguru Adi Shankara Bhagavadpadacharya through this one month long online celebration.
Starting on May 12 we will be hosting talks by around 50 Sages, Scholars, and Seekers from across the world with two sessions each day till June 11. These sessions will focus on Bhagavadpadacharya’s life, his encyclopediac writings on Vedanta, and mutifaceted nature of his teachings.
The Festival has been conceived as our tribute and show of reverence to one of the foremost teacher, thinker, philosopher, yogi, bhakta, and jivanmukta, who tirelessly worked to reshape the socio-cultural-spiritual landscape of Bharatavarsha.
The morning sessions (7:00am-8.00am IST) will focus upon a thematic treatment of Acharya’s Prasthana-traya Bhashya and his other works aimed at benefiting serious seekers of Vedanta.
The evening sessions (7:00pm-8.00pm IST) will focus upon sensitizing one and all about Vedantic path of spirituality- the path, the goal, and its contemporary relevance.
We are very pleased to share that His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri will bless the event with his Anugraha Sandesham during the Inaugural Program.

This speaker hasn't mentioned her Guru parampara. May be a self taught and independent pursuit without a Guru. Nice upanyasa skills with sweet voice and gestures. Her style resembles of Smt.Vishaka Hari. Good to know that the modern youth pursue the profession of Upanyasa on Advaita Vedanta. 🎉

The outstanding question rising in me: Why is that there are so many good souls which suffer? for example: Why some people toil in wars for no fault of theirs? Why some toil as refugees for no fault of theirs? why some are born blind and suffer? why why why? 🤔🤔🤔

Ātman is mistranslated as soul, ans in advaita ātmā is Pārmārtha satya and ātman is brahman or Parmātmā it doesn't suffer anything and is sachidananda.

What a shame! What the gentleman noted after listening to a lecture on vedanta for one hour is that some person is not showing off his piety in the form of facial decoration! This is precisely why they say that vedanta should not be taught to every Tom Dick and Harry. It should be taught only to a proper Adhikari. The Brahma Sutras start with the Sutra "Adhatho Brahma jijnasa"
