Luffy beat katakuri and luffy's observation was equal to katakuri's at the end of their fight, luffy's haki became much much stronger in wano and till the end of wano luffy was way way way stronger than katakuri (I'm not even talking about gear 5 yet). And we know there's a big power gap between shanks and luffy (how much no one knows) so yeah it's pretty obvious that shanks is on a whole different level. He is the ultimate master of all 3 haki in the present one piece. (I'm not saying he's the strongest because no one can say who's the strongest 😂 come on it's one piece, shanks might be but who knows)

These guys seem like bigger deals in my head compared to the shit we actually see them doing in the story. Kidd’s defeat was underwhelming asf. We were just really starting to get acquainted to his character than oda wasted him to hype up shanks. Shanks already previously punked off another character in greenbull who we were about to see make his impactful debut. And for that shit to go no where cause of shanks 😂
