This is why I don’t understand why Kidd is underestimated. Even though he was defeated by Shanks in seconds, I believe his Damned Punk attack would have easily destroyed all of Shanks’ fleet ships, causing massive casualties in mere moments. All the fleet ships were gravitating towards Kidd's Damned Punk! Such an overpowered awakening ability!

It's taken from the anime. It's not the exact translation by the way. You technically could do the "exact" translation. I didn't do it because it's too time consuming. I'm a one man show and I have a full time job and family. But if you have time, I would do this: 1) Get the voices of the characters 2) Clone them on AI voice over platforms like Elevenlabs 3) Use Google Translate or get someone from Japan to help with translating from English to Japanese 4) Use Elevenlabs to do the voice over in Japanese using the cloned voices of the characters 5) Export into audio file and add to your video timeline

The whole purpose of the hype is to show everyone that there are levels to this game. Kidd being all cocky thinking he's all that especially after beating Big Mom had it coming. Even Law had said that Kaido was the "weakest" of the four emperors. I think we unconsciously knew that the level between Shanks and Big Mom alone is quite huge. And no, Kidd is not stronger than Luffy for sure.

We all know that One Piece's pacing isn't the best but I don't think this is pacing related. I think this is to show just how insanely strong Shanks is. We're literally only starting to see more of Shanks and what he can do. His haki has always been enough to fend off enemies but this time, he had to do something or else Kidd would have caused a lot of damage.
