Now we are in Ballinamore,it is raining cats and dogs,we are in Shore power after lock and boat is warm. No too low bridges until now We are happy,it is whisky time ❤️ All good for you and your family

Good evening from Finland ! Nice family and nice locking. We fly to Ireland(I hope so) for 3 weeks boating, 29th sep- 20th oct 2021. 2 questions: We are 2 onboard,I and mt wife Katriina. How long you estimate one lock takes time,starting from lock 1 and continuing to Leitrim. Is there very low bridges ? Our boat Emperor is 3,2 m high Maybe we continue via Carrick to Arhlone All good for you and family.

Locks 1-16 quickly = 2days. At pleasant speed and stopping to enjoy the canal = 4 days. A further week of pleasant Cruising to Athlone. Your Emperor will probably be fine provided the water is at average levels. You will definitely need to stop to take your canopy down for the canal. Especially at Ballyconnell (you can stop before the bridge to do this). Maybe we will see you this year!

@@chrisdougherty We start Killadeas 29th sep and visit first Bellanalek(Pottery) and then start 3rd oct morning from Ardhowen theatre,where we enjoy music.

@@chrisdougherty Our boat should be Noble Emperor I anb we are at Ardhowen 2nd october. We have also flag of Finland at stern and starboard or Portside NI and IRE boat flags.

Now we are in Ballyconnoly,after lowering Arch and Canopy,space if getting through middle,only 2-3 cm to windscreen frame !!? and gauge was 3.4 m.So Emperor is more than 3.8 m How is Bellaheady ? All good to whole family ❤️

Ballyconnell is the lowest. You will be fine at all other bridges. Enjoy!
