That's a foolish thing to say, when asking questions the whole goal is to gather new information and knowledge, about things don't know. If he knew where it was going and to what depth the guest would go into that topic, then the question would be rhetorical and not in search of truth and answers. I understand the sentiment but there's no point in interviewing someone unless you are asking questions you don't have the answers to. And I think the not knowing what is going to be said and where it will go is the most critical and interesting component to any interview.
