When started 11-0 in 2020… and finished 12-5 and The Browns blew us out… you should’ve known.
@TheSlantFootball2 күн бұрын
That was the most fraudulent 11-0 team at that point & time.

Not mention Tomlin rested his players in the final game of the season against the Browns . The Browns needed to win that game to make the playoffs. You don't rest your players when you have a chance to knock your rival out of the playoff contention. Then what happened??? The Steelers face the Browns the very next week in the playoffs and get blown out by the Browns AND THE BROWNS DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THEIR HEAD COACH AT THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOMLIN SHOULD'VE BEEN FIRED RIGHT AFTER THAT GAME ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. FIRE OR TRADE MIKE TOMLIN!!!! ALSO TRADE CRY BABY GEORGE PICKENS ... IM SO TIRED OF SEEING HIM POUTING ON THE SIDELINES AND CRYING. This team has had nothing but problems with players for the past several years now because Tomlin does discipline his players . Johnson and Pickens should've both been suspended and fined when they both gave up on plays during the game. What message does that send to the team when Tomlin allows that? GET TOMLIN OUT OF PITTSBURGH NOW!!!!!!

@Brian-gw6di That's not going to happen!!! First he just got extended. Now to get on my rant! I'm so absolutely sick and tired of hearing all of you fairweather, armchair GMs, and booger eating geeks that don't know shit about football calling for the firing of Mike Tomlin!!! And the mainstream media is no better!!! None of you nonsensical morons have a damn clue!!!!! Everybody says the Steelers need to fire Tomlin and find the next Bill Cowher!!! Well, NEWSFLASH MORONS!!! Do your research and due diligence before you spout your verbal diarrhea!!!! If you do a side by side comparison of Mike Tomlin's stats and Bill Cowher's stats and you do a little bit of basic math (which I'm not confident some of you can handle), you can clearly see that they are not THAT far off!!!!! Tomlin has been here 3 years longer than Cowher. Tomlin 18 seasons to Cowher's 15. Same number of super bowl wins and losses. Cowher was 149-90-1 to Tomlins 183-103-2. Not far off! Cowher was 2-4 in AFC Championship games Tomlin is 2-1. Also not that far off. Cowher had 4 losing seasons during his 15 season tenure, which by my calculation is just under a third of his career in the 'burgh. And that's where there is a difference.....I hate to sound like a broken record, but, even without a playoff win in 8 years, the fact that he is ALWAYS in contention to be in the playoffs is the reason he is the longest active tenured coach in the league right now!!!! There are a lot of teams out there that would sell their first born to have Tomlin in their building simply for that fact!!!!!! Here's the million dollar question for all of you booger eating geniuses out there!!!! If the Steelers fire Tomlin, who do you think they will bring in that would be instantly better? Keeping in mind how many other teams have fired their coaches and are already shopping for a new one!!!!! Yall act like it's soooo damn easy to find a head coach to lead a team to the super bowl!!!!! If that was the case, every team would have very similar records and all be fighting for those playoff spots!!!!! You want to find the next Bill Cowher??? Try looking in the damn locker room!!!!!!

Pickens is over-hyped. He ranks 32nd in receiving. 54th in receptions. Sure he missed a few games but his avg grabs per game are about 4 so 12 more catches puts him maybe at 31 and if he kept up his 64yd catch avg he would be top 15 or 16 for yds..tds is a joke hes ranked 81...he may have some wild catches but his actual production does not equate to a 30mil contract especially with his mentality. Could he have a high side? Maybe? But the negatives are glaring and he is a liability.

No, he's the real deal. You put him on the Ravens or Bengals with those quarterbacks, he'd be right up there with Chase or Jefferson.

@xx1CRU2 күн бұрын
I agree. Trade him if you can, but other teams are seeing this crashout shit too. I don't know if the Steelers are going to get a 2nd rd pick for GP, definitely not a 1st, in my opinion. I don't see this as an aspect of his personality that will just magically disappear when he all of a sudden "grows up and matures." Everyone keeps saying GP is "just young." I think this just might be part of who he is at this point. I can't give that type of unpredictability a $30M+/yr contract. And I think other teams understand what they would be getting in a trade so that could drive down his value. I'm not giving up a 1st rd pick for a potential cancer in my locker room🤷♂️ But again, just my opinion..🫡✌️

George Pickens is not worth the money if he can't consistently produce and act like an adult
@xx1CRU2 күн бұрын
Everyone that defends GP always says the same thing "he's just young." But we are 3 years into this, when should you expect even a tiny bit🤏 of progress? I think this might just be part of who he is. He is an emotional, volatile, unpredictable, crashout waiting to happen. Yes, GP is an IMMENSELY talented WR. But what does that talent mean if all it takes is a couple bad plays at the beginning of the game to send him into a complete negative spiral that destroys his focus and attitude for the next 50-60+ plays of the game? And yes, GP is a young guy, but not every young player is an immature basketcase. Sometimes it is just part of someone's personality. I don't know if everyone has just enabled his immaturity to try to keep him happy to get him to stay in the game and play well. So he has never had that immature aspect of himself challenged and so that negative attitude has just continued to be entrenched into who he is. I don't know, I'm not a psychologist, so I don't know what is going on in his head or what it is going to take to fix it. But do we really think that this behavior is going to magically disappear one day when he all of a sudden grows up and matures? And if I'm going to give a WR $30M+/yr, I need to know I can count on him to be 100% focused and he is going to be someone we can rely on even when things aren't going well. I can't do that with GP. At this point, I'd either trade him or let him walk. The only thing that will make this worse is if he feels the Steelers lowballed him in contract negotiations and he feels "disrespected." But I will also say, if GP was playing with an elite QB like Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes, Justin Herbert, etc.. and a top tier OC that could get him the ball A LOT, creatively, and consistently he might not be as bad as he has been attitude-wise. But he is a professional, he should be able to deal with adversity like an adult and want to overcome it, not cry and crashout everytime a play doesn't go his way. I love a player with an edge to him, but you have to have some kind of common sense and be grounded with that edge. Also, HOW IS THE POTENTIAL FOR MAKING $30M+/yr NOT MOTIVATION TO KEEP YOUR COOL AND WORK AS HARD AS YOU CAN TO ACHIEVE THAT KIND OF BAG??!!!??!!😅 That is just nuts to me.. Sorry, I know this comment is crazy long. If anyone reads it, shout out to you😂 Appreciate you🫡✌️
@ladonnadaniels6555Күн бұрын
@@xx1CRU I agree with everything you said but GP will go against the grain and not put forth his best effort if he’s pissed off. He doesn’t want to be criticized even if it’s constructive. When he did that interview and that reporter told him what RW said about him which was tweaked to sound negative he missed several catches which were easy for him. That in turn made RW’s performance not look so good. GP don’t even want to improve his own stats. WOW!!!

In the same sentence following the loss, Tomlin stated that you can’t play to your fears while defending his decision to inexplicably run the ball to keep the ball out of Burrow’s hands, despite getting 45 points all through the air in their last meeting. This coach is a joke and what he has going on is a clown show. The system that supports it has a strong enough infrastructure to always pump in the parts that make it look like we’re doing “good.” But it’s plain as day obvious, Mike Tomlin is an underperforming, overrated head coach and the Steelers have held onto him for far too long. Pickens is a par for the course product seen time and time again, typical of Tomlin’s undisciplined crop

The Steelers would never pay George Pickens 30 million a year to play, TJ watt is the highest paid player and he only makes 28 million/season. Minkah's making 18 million per season..ain't no way in hell ..the Steelers will pay a 23 yr old receiver who's behavior has already cost them. What Pro receiver do u see arguing with the HOMETOWN fans??!! He's not worth 20 million..he's more an more..becoming a liability. An those that r comparing him to AB..there's a difference there, AB was performing an NEVER dropped catches..even when he's gettin sandwiched an hit by 2 players...the only reason Pittsburgh put up with him is bc he was delivering. What happens during the playoffs will b the deciding factor for GP's future along with Russ's.

This kid could be the best receiver in the league in the right situation. BUT, He IS a very immature kid and a total headcase. They'll bring him back for his fourth year, but I don't think he gets a contract this year, and h e won't be offered a 5th year option if he keeps acting like this. If he does keep this up, he will be traded before the playoffs next year. I'm ready for a new perspective, and I agree the Tomlin approach is past its prime. Fans are tired of the repeated errors in situational football, by MT. The National media slobbers over him, but us fans see the warts. Mr Rooney, do what is necessary... MOVE ON!

Tom Donahue, are head Coach at Seton LaSalle HS, later a scout for Pgh Steelers , then became Director of Player personnel Excuses are for loosers. back then are QB had to punch a few people in the head/ mouth . Now this team has been in trouble alot longer then 7 years. When Mike was announced as the new head coach and when he talked we thought he was the second Comming of Chuck Noll, and quite frankly it was all B.S. George Pickens is not the only troubled player Tomlin has had as we all know we have had a string of them from the dummy who shot himself in the nutz, all moved on to nowhereville. When an opponent of the Pittsburgh Steelers says after a game, we knew what they were going to do before they even hiked the ball, that's usually not a good sign. Because I don't even think the Steelers know themselves what they're going to do before they hike the ball. That's been the common theme for the Steelers offense the past several seasons. Steelers are stale and obviously very predictable on offense. They need a younger more possibly offensive minded type of coach like a Sean McVay or Ben Johnson or somebody like that moving forward. Just someone who can bring some life into a listless painful to watch offense. Not an offense that says we'll get you 10 -17 points, now defense get out there and shut the damn door and make it stick! I mean doesn't Rooney himself get sick of watching this shit.

First 4 years of Tomlin compared to last 14...smh, he is so overrated... How about that game in Philly after Boswell's kick off out of bounds Philly scored but the game is still up for grabs, I pretty sure it was a one score game, so Steelers ball, they get a 4th and 7 on their own 45 and they go for it.... with a whole quarter left to play, they go for it even after Philly just scored from worse FP the drive before, they go for it instead of changing field position and putting your pretty good defense out there that make a play. I'm never going to forgive that play call right there I don't know how you can
