The hardest answer is money. The radio show was hot and remember Steve was still doing comedy at the time he was doing the hoodie awards. Everyone remembers that he was becoming more of a producer in industry rather than someone who had to be booked on a standup performance. Then something happened his radio show gained recognition not from traditional African-American communities, but from television executives across America. He’s been on several different TV shows we recognize him, of course from family feud, but he had that other show with the young children. When you sign contracts with these companies you have to agree to certain things one of them is you represent their brand and they want you to be a family type brand. You can’t have the person representing family feud do a comedy show and go on a tirade with curse words. And then he had a choice to make, you can step into television and make a lot of money you can get syndicated even popular amongst your initial audience but the wider American audience or keep doing what you’re doing. Anyone with half a brain would have told corporate America I will sign up for this deal. I’ll cut back on my stand-up comedy. You don’t have to hear me go on stage and use what some in America might consider file language that would damage a brand, he’ll do the show in the morning. He will be known for his television exploits at night. Notice how many seasons has he been on family feud now it’s been over a decade that’s 20 seasons and then some. Those episodes will be classics they will pay revenue to his family for those episodes for years to come decades to come. It was a better financial deal to go this route. Some look down on him for doing it. I don’t blame him. That’s where the money is. That’s where the money was go get that money.

Blah blah blah. I worked in the Entertainment Industry for too long. Steve Harvey full of BS. He should really tell you why he left stand up. Chappelle, Rock, Hart and Kat Williams. Will Make $40 to $60 million for one Special. Steve works 5 to 6 days a week. 15 hours days. And may make $60 million in a 4 year period. Do the math. 1 night special on Netflix. Kr 5 to 5 days a week. 15 hour days for 3 to 4 years. Steve on some bullshit Sharpe

I don’t know about that. Steve was never a great actor. He’s not the comedic actor. Yes he had a television show, but that had a very specific theme to it. Name a movie that you would like to see Steve Harvey in. His book made a great movie, but he wasn’t a pivotal character in that movie. The other movie he’s been in. They are not memorable. His stand up comedy it’s OK. It’s not the best. Remember when he was feeling those centers, the new comedy hadn’t come yet. Everybody was hype on the kings of comedy, but when the talent came, Steve rightfully recognized, this is not the place for me get out of the way. He makes a much better radio show host. He makes a much better television show host. It’s just the truth. Let’s not pretend he’s a great stand-up comedian. He is not one of the greats he’s just ok. Let’s not pretend he’s a great actor. He’s not. Instead, he is a great host.
