I wish Shantanu had focused on giving a gist of what Ramayana is about (metaphorically, not literally) rather than engage in statistics about it. That's what will make ancient Hindu texts more appealing for everyone who wants to learn about it. There's much wisdom in all three major Hindu texts - Bhagwad Gita, Ramayana, and Mahabharata - if only interpreted metaphorically not literally.
