Cool equipment! I obviously have not checked the Century catalog for too long. Bob has undergone some updates. I wonder when the A.I. animated one will come out.

After training for 15 years in the Villari system (under grand Master DeMasco), they are still teaching these old out of date techniques. I had to unlearn most of them under Grand Master Brassard.

Brassard teaches these a little better, but making a few changes and replacing some of the combinations with Shielding Hammer and Five Swords doesn't really make them any more realistic. I had to unlearn all this nonsense when I started training under Tony Blauer and then later with Lee Morrison.

Unlike Steve Dimasco, i actually trained at the Shaolin Temple, he just likes to talk like he did. Not sure he ever even went there. One of my instructors, in addition to Mark Grupposo is Laurie Whitlark who is a Viet Nam vet, special forces Green Beret who also trained with Jim Brassard. Anyway, every Master should know that these combinations are not fighting techniques as they are written. They are conceptual, like katas. Each one teaches a different fighting principle that can be expanded upon and each encourages creativity and invention. if anyone ever told you that you should do a combination exactly as-is in a fight, besides 6 & 7, they were misleading you.

@@SeraphinFireMusicExactly this. There has never been an intention to do the technique in real life EXACTLY like the DM. It’s like a football play on Sunday is based on the play practiced during the weekly practice. It’s known things are going to be different on Sundays game. You’re just using the foundation as a base to work on. It’s the same with the DMs.

Good but sloppy and you skipped #4

I skipped 4 because the principle doesn't translate to a punching bag. And if by "sloppy", you mean relaxed, powerful, and effective, then thank you! Crispy, pretty and ineffective is not my style.

Happy to meet anytime to address your misgivings. Until then, let's keep a civil tongue, sistah.

@@SeraphinFireMusic You seriously shouldn't be calling people out. It's obvious you've never actually been in a real fight.
