@@tippy1240 It didn't matter to her because of the Chinese oath thing. They swore with bite marks as well as she swore to the gods. That was a pretty serious thing back then. That's why those kneeling in front of the emperor is often making oaths. When I was a kid, I once (after seeing too many Chinese dramas) made an attempt at an oath while my mother and father were punishing me for what I thought was an unjust thing and was severely beaten for daring to even bring up stuff like ancestors and gods, LOL. Its a VERY serious thing for Chinese families in the past. So back to ShaoShang, she was very, very serious when she warned him that she would never forgive him. It's tough for the Chinese mentality to get over that kind of oath. Hence you see so many Chinese dramas with families falling apart because of such an oath.

@@tashaonly Agreed! Shaoshang felt abandoned most of her young life. It took awhile before she took down her wall to trust & love Ling Buyi and it still wasn’t easy for her to give up her independent way of doing things on her own. But once she gave her trust and love to Ling Buyi, she was all in….she would have lived or died with him. But once he broke her trust and didn’t confide in her like he expected her to do, she warned him that if he abandoned her, she would never forgive him. And she kept that promise despite still loving him and knowing he still loved her. So they ended up both suffering. We all probably felt she was being way too stubborn with her promise but that’s how Shaoshang is….it was only towards the end when she finally forgave him….thank goodness!

@@Kistan12 Yes, many viewers criticized her for not changing, but she did. Sheesh, the girl hated school! And she spent seven hours a day doing schoolwork. LOL. She was willing to be what he wanted her to be, and although she was still involved in helping people he didn't want her to help, let's face it, it was for a selfish reason. If she were helping HIM, or the Third Prince, or defending Empress Yue (who needed no defending, LOL), he might have praised her. Look, I get it. I get that he didn't want anything to happen to her because he knew he was playing a dangerous game, but meh. He understood and never attempted to explain to her because yeah, yeah, court politics, she wouldn't understand, protection, blah-blah-blah. Look, either she was fifteen and too young (like some defending her said) or she was fifteen and old enough (like some hating her said). Can't be both, depending on the sitch!

@@tashaonlyhave you ever watched Story of Yanxi Palace? This situation reminded me of when FuHang ended up, marrying other girl trying to save Wei Yinglo and the empress, his sister says to him “with her character she would’ve died for you, but once you betrayed her, she cannot live with you” or something like that. And I always think they must’ve been Tauruses😅😅. Because that’s how we move. I am glad she ended up forgiving him but I really really hate that. They didn’t get their wedding at the end of the show. I felt so cheated.

I love his new drama Amidst a snowstorm of love… BUT it made me miss Lin Buyi and CSS. I have ended up watching LLTG all over again (even if I dislike the ending and the mother). It’s such a great show

I like the little flashbacks, it also seems like they’re going in reverse, as if to say maybe I should never have met you, especially when he didn’t grab the bloody string. But at the very last second when he did grab the bloody string, it’s as if he’s saying “I’m glad I have met and loved you”.

The scene was ruined by the guitar playing. I don't understand why you did it if it is because of copyright you shouldn't have done it at all. I sat through Game of Thrones and loved every single second of it we hurt with them we cried with them we built a vested interest over many hours of watching and the makers of that show completely ruined it in season 8 what a copout way to end what was a phenomenal show. Now I am witnessing it again. This show had me hooked and in 4 days I watched every single episode yet once again the ending was wrong. To be denied their wedding which for most of us we wanted to see so much was so wrong. I wanted to see my General and his lady in all their splendour for the wedding day. All the people who have attacked and tried everything they could to take them down needed to see they lost. The Emperor who was their greatest fan was not there and that alone ticked me off. I love the series but such a let down at the end.
