sofiamaria94 you will file the edge horizontally until it creates a 90 degree angle with your side walls. unfortunately it means you may loose a lot of length depending on how strong the oval shape is

How can I go from almond to oval nails? I like the more round aspect of them!

essentially, you’re going to lose some length. So assuming youre ok with that, you want to cut enough nail that you have a straight free edge and side walls or pretty close. Then reshape the new edge as outlined for oval.

nope, I never have that problem. Try dehydrating your nails prior (you can use a primer too) and never wash your hands before you polish them. Your hands should be completely dry

@sandrastreifel64524 жыл бұрын
alpha fish: You need to pick a shape, and stick to it. Having all your nails oval, for example, will look more finished. Are the majority of your nails one shape? Most peoples’ hands do have different nail beds, my thumb is square and others oval, for example. I have them all oval, right now, but rounded square, or tapered square, for longer nails, are nice too.

@abetweene6 жыл бұрын
find a task to substitute your nail biting. Its usually a habit developed when people are anxious, etc so when you feel your trigger emotions, instead, draw, write, or anything else you enjoy. Now you have to let your nails grow out. I recommend rubbing oil into them daily. I use jojoba, almond, olive, or any oil i can find in my house. This alone will do wonders!
@unamattina60236 жыл бұрын
abetweene actually I stopped biting my nails. Now they are growing very well but the only problem is their(my nailbeds) shapes.

Oh i see! Unfortunately theres no way to change the shape of your nails beds. But you can sculpt extensions to help camouflage and build the nail structure that you want.

@@abetweene i do cause a chemical peel uses acid-even natural acids to slough or get rid of skin cells. Its just a weaker version (been researching about them for yrs). I think it is ingenious of u to use an acid peel to take off cuticles. Im gonna switch from using traditional cuticle removers that use NaOH or KOH (they dont always work that well). They do, however, have alphahydroxy acid(acid peel) cuticle removers now.
