The team gave their everything and delivered an exceptionally beautiful, nostalgic and fun game. I'm almost 90 hours in having just reached what I think is the end of the Temple. It's crazy because I think I finished Remake in 3-4 days. I have never played an RPG for this long before reaching the end as I normally mop up side quests afterward, but damn I just loved exploring the remade world and the minigames were really done well.

I was a bit late to the party having purchased the game begin October. I finished the game today clocking at 100 hours. I did all side quests and all word intel (excluding hard versions of minigames, and I also skipped ALL Queens Blood missions except the obligatory ones). This game truly is a masterpiece. Thanks to the team for bringing this world alive once more. I feel a bit sad that it's over, but what a journey it was. Magnificent. Game of the year for me. On to part 3!

Excellent gameplay, story, I love the character development, & the combat system has been nothing short of phenomenal. It’s quick selection capability is the best one I’ve ever used in any PS4 & PS5 game. I switch so fast between the characters in combat. I’ve caused my PS5’s processor to slow down & the game to glitch like a broken record 😂😂. The mini-games were obnoxious asf tho 🤣. Even my GF said. “Aren’t you just doing the same thing over again in a different part of the game? This is so repetitive.”

Yeah I agree, the mini games were repetitive, especially with the "ultimate party animal" side quest. I beaten queens blood, chocobo racing, and the motorcycle mini game. The other 2 were difficult af. The ending was pretty touching, too. The ff7 team is slowly inching its way out of the "remake sequel" and going for an actual remake (finally)

The remake of Final Fantasy 7 is actually what a game would look like if a company actually hired talented and skilled developers who are real fans of the original installment. This modern remake of one of the greatest rpgs ever made is a masterpiece. Hats off to the devs for going above and beyond for the last 2 games. Can't wait for the 3rd part. And kudos to the minds of square enix for creating ff7. Y'all deserve respect not just for making or creating such a masterpiece for all the gamers to enjoy, but also for making the customers' opinions, suggestions and critiques matter. I've been a fan since '06, and man I've never regretted being one.

Man sieht in dem spiel mit wieviel Ehrgeiz und detailverliebtheit gearbeitet wurde. Nichts wurde einfach so hingeklatscht oder nur minimal überarbeitet um mit dem spiel schnell geld zu verdienen.,im gegenteil. Großartige leistung von den entwicklern, den soundspezialisten und auch von den übersetzern, denn es ist nicht selbstverständlich das rollenspiele auch deutsche sprachausgabe besitzen und so gut rüberbringen. 👍.

A masterpiece that transcend the industry, video games, what you have done is a piece of art... I know that it was hard to do FF7 Rebirth just in time.... but i noticed that some hidden graphic parts wasn't finished and sometimes it broke the exploration... also Midgar is still graphically as a jpeg picture... (Except for the Aerith part in the temple) i was waiting more games in the Gold Saucer... i repeat this game is art... please you're so close to the perfection 💗

(mild spoiler ahead!) I've played 152h in my first playthrough and they were the best 150h of my gaming life. It's incredible what the team behind this game was able to pull off Just the ending was a desaster... I really do hope that Part 3s ending will make up for it :-/ But still... this game is the GOAT

As a fan of the original, the ending of this game is a little rough. I am trying to stay open minded about the changes to the story but I would have preferred something a little closer to original. I was also not a fan of some parts of the open world (even though a lot of it is awesome), mainly because it felt a little cluttered to me with all of the chadley research destinations (I know many people don't like empty space in their open world but to me a more open environment feels more realistic and even more similar to the open plains that were depicted in the original game on the world map and in battle sequences on the world map). I also would have liked to see more open grasslands spacing things out between the various regions (it's a little weird that you can see some of the mountains of the Nibel region from the Corel region. It makes the world feel a little cramped). But all that being said, this is still an extraordinary game. The greatness of this game is really carried by some of the immaculate detail, the breathtaking scale and overall fidelity of many of the key locations like Junon, Gold Saucer, Cosmo Canyon, etc. The combat is also very good, along with the music, cutscenes and so much more. Thanks for a great game. Despite my gripes about the ending and some other aspects of the game, I am wholeheartedly looking forward to the third part of this trilogy.

After 132 hours on Rebirth I am asking myself: Is this game better than the original FFVII? It has everything (and more) in modern graphics and THE BEST action/rpg gameplay. The amazing musics are enhanced. So yeah, even if nostalgia tells me FFVII is the greatest Final Fantasy game ever... To me the REMAKE and REBIRTH are even better.

I love the game, but maybe exploration should be less guided and more natural, and there is probably a bit too much mini games and not everything is really fun to do(especially when you need to do it several times). There is probably a better balance to find. But for me it still the best Final Fantasy since at least FFXII. I`m close to the end and i`m taking my time.

This video highlights the massive amount of excellent work that was done for FF7R2, but it also shows how they are oblivious to their mistakes with the open area/world design. They praise the exploration possibilities, but they're an illusion that some gamers have become aware of, fifteen years after seeing Ubisoft develop this model for open world design. This open world design is the Ubisoft model of a set of repeated activities, placed on specific locations in the world, and the player sees them on his world map. Yes, this gets the player moving through the world, but it is not actually exploration. The player knows only the marked locations have anything of significance, and will run straight lines between the activities. This limitations of this design are becoming very grating on some players. AAA gaming keeps on giving us games with large, empty maps that feel sterile, and are full of shallow and repetitive activities. They don't feel like actual places in a world, more like an artificial sandbox. Those of us who have been playing Ubisoft sandboxes for 15 years would rather you use your creativity to create vibrant and unique areas with their own stories, gameplay and feel. I'm hoping for better open area/world gameplay in FF7R3.

Just beaten it last night. The mini games were hell, and I think I'm cursed with being good at queens blood with good cards. Anyways, the ending was very touching, and I'm glad they are sticking to the original path. Now, how do we prevent sephiroth from making another time loop again? Can't wait for part 3 and what "RE" name its gonna be this time. (we already got "reunion" with crisis core "remake" which is more of an HD remastered.)
