Kareem, Hakeem, Moses Malone, prime Yao, Wilt, Bill Russel... Also Tim Duncan for sure was better than Shaq. He's not a power forward. He was a center that played at a PF position until Robinson retired. As a center Shaq got nothing on him. Also, if Jokić wins another ring I'm putting him ahead of Shaq easily. The knowledge that Jokić has in his pinkie, Shaq doesn't have in his whole basketball being. All his need is at least another chip. @Angeltozooted yeaa because they weren't allowed to play the game the way it's played now. Yall probably didn't even know you weren't allowed to dribble the ball unless it was directly over the ball. It would always be called a carry if it was slightly not over the ball. That's why the dribbling looked stiff in older videos. No one was allowed to do what kyrie does because it wasn't legal and therefore no one practiced that. Now you can basically carry it or dribble from it's side. Kyrie and others back then would be carrying every second. Same thing with "euro steps" and "step backs" and gather steps.

It's because even if you think Shaq is better, it's close enough that no one should have an issue with someone thinking one is better than the other. It's more about personal preference at that point. Hakeem was more well rounded, but Shaq to me was so much better offensively (I don't care about bag, I care about efficiency, which Shaq kills Hakeem there) that it outweighs the other areas Hakeem was better in. Wilt I can even give a pass because of the gawdy numbers (I have Shaq higher, but I can at least understand why people have Wilt higher). Duncan is definitely more a power forward than a center. It's like calling AD a center lol. They're power forwards that play the 5 due to matchups. You ain't moving Kareem or Shaq to the 4 no matter who is alongside them. Then the Moses take was absurd. Great player, but c'mon. He was basically a smaller and less athletic Shaq. Shit, Shaq's bag was even deeper than Moses. And I say this as someone who thinks Moses gets slept on too much.

And if he was actually as big or just as strong as Shaq, he’d probably be actually the greatest center of all time and possibly would’ve won more chips tbh. Hakeem was better than Orlando Shaq but Lakers Shaq was probably a little better than Hakeem. The only goat Centers that’s usually mentioned the most is either Shaq or Kareem, sometimes Wilt too. Kind of interesting, Duncan was listed as a center for 10 years of his 19 year career

Yea, Duncan played alot of center, especially as he got older. May have been better there than at the 4.

Back in 1994 I was actually in New York rooting for the Knicks. The series went to a deciding 7th game but Hakeem was on another level and basically unplayable - he was the difference between the two teams - a bit Jordan like tbh.

I think he was talking about who's better than shaq skill wise, but shaq was so dominant and powerful that he did not need to know how to shoot, dribble, or even have post up moves. He literally could have backed down anyone and just throw it down
