My favorite memory of Kobe was just watching games when we were down by 10-15 going into the 4th. Kobe would check in and hit 1 shot, and he would almost ALWAYS bring us back in the game especially at home…the crowd would get so loud after that first bucket to cut it to 8 or so and later win the game…as a kid watching him he was really a superhero and felt so unbelievable imo. The best 🫘

Unfortunately, Kobe had to file a lawsuit against his Mother for blocking a potential sale of his memorabilia back in 2006. He later told GQ Magazine in 2018 that he had no plans of reconciliation with his parents.
@fidelnenas8390

@@remingtonporter1734 yet he was slowly reconciling with his dad. I’m sure their hurt is profound especially his fathers. But I feel Vanessa is disresptful to them cause no matter what animus or bad feelings without them there is no Kobe. Vanessa making the rounds like Kobe’s life didn’t start til she came in the picture. His parent nor his sisters deserve the freeze out that she is putting them through. No matter what she feels towards them she should at least give Kobe’s father the honor of speaking about his son she’s about riding the Kobe train by herself. I hope that none of her daughters do to her what she’s done to her own mother and his parents. No matter what you don’t ever cut out your parents from your life. Period.

I was working at LAX during the final game vs the Pacers & we just so happened to go to our lunch around the 3rd quarter but had been keeping track of the game & Lakers has been trailing all game pretty much. When they started making that comeback & tied it then started taking the lead was when my lunch was over but no1 was moving not even our supervisor. He'll I think some ppl had their plain boarding but every1 was glued to the TV's cheering every time Lakers scored then the pacers made their comeback & tied it up at 103 it went silent. Then Lakers scored 6 unanswered points & every1 was hyped. When they stopped the pacers final flurry the whole terminal erupted. Strangers were high fiving & hugging grown men crying. It was 1 of my greatest sports memories of all time

Then to have my brother die a year later on the anniversary of Kobe’s death makes them forever linked in my mind. Great job taking a moment to speak on Jerry West. Afterall he was the GM at the time and made the acquisition happen. Jeanie Buss never mentioned West when she spoke. He was in attendance but for some reason wasn't invited to speak on stage.

I still cannot believe its been 4 years since kobe passing. It's still a shocker to me. He one of the greatest basketball player that even comes close to michael jordan. My heart goes out to not only vanessa and the kids but also kobie other family his mother father and sisters. Without his mom and dad, there would be no kobie. That family has been disrespected and not mention often. Shaq was the only one at kobie memorial that actually mention kobie parents and still does today. It goes to shaq really respects kobie and all his family.

Well, that may have to do with the fact that Kobe and his parents had a strained relationship, they allegedly didn’t support his marriage and his wife, and they didn’t even meet Kobe’s first child, Natalia, until years later.

Every morning, I look at the picture of Kobe that is on my wall. This what makes Charles great on the show, he stay quiet and let Shaq talk without throwing in jokes or puns. There are many endless opportunities to make fun of Shaq, but this isn't one of those times. Either that or he just ate 2 boxes of Krispy Kreme and was too bloated to talk.

Yep. It took losing Kobe for Shaq to get past his own ego. He’s praising him now but he used to get big mad when people said he couldn’t have won 3 rings without Kobe 😂 Kobe was always cool with him but Shaq was the one with an attitude. As the saying goes “you don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone”. Happens way too much.
