That ending where Kobe gave up the layup for Shaq, and then Shaq paid him back with the beautiful alley-oop throw, and reverse dunk by Kobe is vintage Shaq-Kobe era. That smile afterwards by Kobe.. man that hits me in the feels.

@@rogerham For sure! And all the Kobe-Shaq individual performances back then were linked to each other. When Kobe went off for the string of 40+ pt games, Shaq let him shine and campaigned for him winning MVP. When Shaq goes off in the Finals and in the playoffs, it's Kobe feeding him the ball, and adding that dynamic, all-court scoring threat that lets him feast in the paint. That play at the end to cap off his career high 61pt is VINTAGE!!!

@Keyan Dehghan that doesnt mean he would smoke wilt. Wilt has 70 records for a reason dudes a beast. And js bill russel won 11 rings. 2 of which he was coaching and playing at the same time. Shaqs good but he didnt do that. And i highly doubt he would dominate wilt js. Whos team would win 1971 lakers or 2000 lakers? 2000 of course but not because of shaq entirely.
@horimotogp10314 жыл бұрын
@Keyan Dehghan to an extent yes. Im not even gonna bring the records into this or championships for that matter because thats a team effort. Shaq had plenty of bad games where his squad (and yes the lakers were a squad) made up for his slack. Also wilt did the same. Just didnt have as good of a team. In fact wilt did more than that. He played 48 minutes a game as opposed to shaqs 40 (in 1963 wilt only missed 8 minutes because he got two tech fouls. Every other minute of that 79 game season he was on a basketball court) he once dunked so hard on Johnny Kerr that the ball hitting his toe after he dunked it it broke johnnys fucking toe. He dislocated gus johnson shoulder by blocking a ball (all ball no contact and on the year he won a title with the 76ers going 68-13) and as far as strenth goes, he benched more than shaq even at the age of 59

He was out all day before the game getting ready for hosting a big ass party, because he thought the game would be easy, didn’t expect to play much, skipped his usual nap before the game, (25:30 ~ he’s lookin tired).then he saw Kareem helping out the clippers head coach and that’s when he took it personal. After the game he went out that night and was bumpin the song “Bow Down” in a convertible while pulling up to the club. Had a lil twinkle in his eye while reminiscing on destroying the clippers on half a tank and then a big ol shaq party, can you imagine going to that party???? Peak nba culture.

thanks for the stamp, that was awesome. Kobe's reverse alley-oop on a perfect long pass from Shaq was spectacular.

Damn I got chills during his last 10 points or so, hearing the crowd cheering for him, what a moment! He started kinda slow in the first quarter I was thinking how does he get to 60!? This was a great watch.

I forgot what it was exactly, but I think his idol was in the stands and he just felt extremely motivated at some point in the game.

look at how high shaq gets at 1:25:40 on that alley oop dunk. his head is dang near at the rim. he had pretty good hops for a guy that big. that guy was scary good when he was in his prime. geez
