I've had two Shaq encounters in my life: Once when he waved me to merge in front of him on I-4 while it was backed up. The second was while working at a bookstore by UCF. This massive figure walked by our muted windows and practically blocked out the sun as we all turned and watched amazed. We didn't know it was him until he walked passed the clear doors. He looked over for a second and must have noticed us all staring. So about four steps passed the doors, he turns around, walks back, opens the doors just enough to poke his head in and says, "Hey ya'll. I'm Shaq.", then he just walks away lol. He's such a genuinely kind and humorous person. An absolute wonderful soul.

I wasn't a huge basketball fan but was born in Orlando.. when Mr.Oneil came to Orlando. It was on!! My older cousin took me to many Orena Magic games. Never met SHAQ.. one day, at the Florida Mall I saw people start running. I looked up and saw SHAQ was singing autographs people were going crazy.. I stood back and watched.. for about half an hour. He never got upset, he never raised his voice, he have NEVER rude to anyone. When it was my turn to finally talk to him. He said " You got something to sign?". I didn't and said 'I just really want a handshake, thanks man, you got me into basketball". He shook my hand and then gave me a hug. I had met other celebrities and sports athletes. But Mr O'Neil made me feel like a friend and proved how to be a decent man. If anyone has a bad word to say about this man. You tell them to find me on KZbin. Cause this man is the EARTH!!!.

Another great podcast! When my son was 9 we sent him to the Orlando Magic's summer camp and Shaq was just so cool to him and to us.
