And yet IU still wins the game. This was a great team to watch. Go Iu!!!

They had forwards and centers who could shoot. Eric Anderson was like Jack Sikma. Unfortunately, Knight was a bit too stubborn against lesser teams and players.

damn his shot form and free throw percentage looked good in college
@francistervil40579 жыл бұрын
+0608jeff I was about to write the same thing. He looked great. I think his free throw's form got worse because he got more muscular.
@SmikeX9 жыл бұрын
+Black Panther yeah i was about to write the same thing.When you have '12 hands and you are as big as shaq,its not easy to shoot a freethrow with a ball that is too small for your hands and too easy for your strenght

+NBA Entertainment I mean I never bought in to that excuse. There's plenty of players with big ass hands who can shoot FTs.

Man!! imagine how much better he would have been if he stayed this good of shape!
@fortunaaudacesiuvat8 жыл бұрын
You mean his free throw form? Sure it looked better but he still had abysmal % in college. His physical shape didn't hinder his athleticism at all later on, and all the weights added to his inside dominance. That's what made him a monster.
@dharmaram75278 жыл бұрын
+Kefei Lei half true. Even Phil called him out for coming into camp out shape. And of course Kobe got on him too. What I mean is he depended too much on his natural talent and size when he could have been even much more than just that.
@toogifted64918 жыл бұрын
+Dharma Ram I agree man for me looking at Orlando Shaq and the heavier Laker Shaq is like looking at two completely different people. The athleticism he had in his skinnier Orlando days was just crazy. Looking at Laker Shaq all that extra weight he put on made him more dominant then he already was but he lost a little athleticism not too much tho

I remember reading that a long time ago in the last millennium💅 🤣 That was one of Bob's best quotes, just for the record. But there was also a game in the run up to the national championship in 1987 when IU also played LSU and had a 1 point squeaker In the sweet 16 or maybe the elite 8 when it could have ended but Indiana pulled it off against LSU and Bob Brown. And they also beat the Running Rebels from Vegas in the first game of the final 4, then of course they went on to defeat Syracuse in a classic on Monday night against 2 all Americans, when Keith Smart hit the game winner with about 3 seconds left. Steve Alford was 7 for 11 on his 3 point shots, scoring 23 points for the game.
@adamr67943 жыл бұрын
I remember this game. LSU had a big lead and then IU put a small forward on Shaq to swat the ball away every time he got the ball, it worked, IU won easily. Ho-hum.

That LSU team had high school All Americans at almost every position his final year in college and they got ran off the court by a bunch of midwestern farmboys. Shaq should have at LEAST went to the Final Four his freshman year when he was with Chris Jackson and Stanley Roberts. Unfortunately for Shaquille, Dale Brown was his college coach. Bobby Knight must’ve been licking his chops when he saw Dale Brown.
