Koos Kansloos nah bro, Irish Catholics pretty much never owned slaves in america. It is technically possible, but it was about as common as black people owning slaves in America. I can write a whole ass history lesson if you want, but basically the chances of someone with the surname “O’Neal” owning slaves in America were 1 in a million. In the 1800s the most common interracial relationship was Irish and black people, and it mostly occurred in the northeast where Shaq is from.

The team then gave their sneakers away. Here comes Shaq, walking over to me. I'm thinking I'm going to have my "Mean Joe Greene Coca-Cola commercial" moment. Shaq is 4 feet from me, his kicks in hand, and then.........that damn donkey Nate Robinson runs up behind Shaq, steals his shoes, runs to the other side of the court and tosses em. Playing for the Suns actually got Shaq back into shape after sitting out for months in Miami due to injury. The Suns at the time were known for their training staff, they were possibly best in the league in 2008. Look at how Grant Hill went from being injury prone to playing all 82 games in 08-09. I don't quite understand this "if only shaq had taken care of himself" argument. He was a hefty 7'1 guy that dominated through little more than straight up physical strength. Bigs don't last as long as guards, and big bigs don't last as long as slim bigs. And shaq simply never had that slender Hakeem or Kareem build, when he was a rookie he already had the musclemass of prime David Robinson or maybe even Karl Malone. How was he ever going to preserve that into his mid to late 30s? Yk every push, every hit he dished out, he received equally. As in newtons third law. How do people not realize that this playstyle wears a body down so much, it's physically impossible to not fall off after a decade and a half or so in the league. I also feel people don't realize or put it into perspective that he actually was drafted in the early 90s, they act as if his career began when he started being successful with the lakers, they act as if his title with the heat in 06, the last time he was a real oncourt factor, came in like year 8 of his career. It was freakin year 14...... Thats hella late for a center
@PrimeGalvatron4 жыл бұрын
Yeah but Shaq admitted he ate too much and tried to stay big. Tim Duncan slimmed down later in his career and it added years. Shaq wanted to be a fatboy. He was 60 - 70 pounds overweight, he could easily have trained hard, got back to 310 - 320 and had two or three more Diesel ish seasons. Before he committed to being a big bully, he was a slightly bigger David Robinson.

Danny Ainge cost the Celtics their 18th Banner when he traded Kendrick Perkins for soft Jeff Green mid-year this season (2010 - 2011). What the hell was he thinking counting on Shaq to stay healthy ? Plus, that Garnett-led Celtics group was very close and it was real. They suffered the awful heartbreak when the officials took the 2010 title from them in the 4th quarter of game 7 vs Lakers the previous season. I actually thought Shaq and Kendrick Perkins, in his work his way back from ACL tear year, where he was limited in minutes, made for the perfect center on that, aging, slow paced, half court style team. Splitting minutes with Shaq, they were playing about 20 mins each and combining for around 14 pts, 12 boards, and 2 assists per game. The Perkins trade was a mistake and I think they would have given Miami a run for their money if Shaw could have just stayed healthy with Perkins/Shaq center and Garnett/Jermaine O’neal gett KG rest at PF. It was Jermaine that proved to be useless in the end, starting all the playoff games and bringing absolutely zero to the table. Just MHO.
