I am so thrilled to have found someone who knows how to style short hair. You are amazing! Your hair is exactly like mine with the texture and being stubborn when styling. You've made it look so simple and beautiful. You've given me hope as to how to style my own hair. I get haircuts every 4 weeks and coloring. I am 68 and have always liked to be in style, yet not try to look 20. Spiked hair was my favorite but now love this style you've done here and always tried to get it like yours. Another issue is my stylist cannot get my hair the light blonde/platinum like you have. Reading some of your reply comments helped so I can share with her to use a stronger bleach treatment. And yes, higher volume bleach is necessary sometimes to really get the hair nice a bright😘 I have some gray around the forehead and it blends right into the highlights so I know you'll love that too. So as you can see in pic my hair is quite long, am getting a pixie cut at age 55,i always had pixie cuts like pink, but i love yours more loll, also my hair is jet back, so going to have it stripped around a month after and get tips dyed in blondes, hairdresser said might need a few times before she gets all my dye out to get back yo brown, so really have to hide away for a few months as have a major mallen streak at the front of my hair. Gladly i found you and loved your pixie hair and showing how many different styles you can get from one style. (does that make sense lol!!!) Showed my hairdresser your tutorials and she said oh i can do that, now i see where i was going wrong in the cut. So a big thank you as it will help her and me to gradually use my greys as highlights a long way to go so thank you so much xx

I got a pixie a lot like yours three weeks ago and I'm loving it! Watching your video I am realizing that the hair at my low side part needs to be cut shorter in order to obtain that side swept look. I also have a glat skull on the back of my head and this type of hair cut actually conceals that rather than drawing attention to it 😊

Ok that is a perfect cut. I have similar, a ‘textured pixie with a sideswept bang’ and always looking for tips. I just trimmed it myself today, did a decent job, and I use Layrite clay as well as Aussie Instant Freeze. Also use Garnier Mega Full right after the shower. Haven’t tried the iron, I seem to not need anything else but I could try it, often I don’t need to blow dry either, just air dry while doing my makeup! Thanks for the video!

You have the hair l want !!! I have had long hair most of my 75 years. After having 3 major surgeries... and being in hospital almost 5mos. I am left with a mass of tangles & knots to my scalp. I had to get cut so short. I found your spike & LOVED IT. I left looking awful. Nothing like yours!!! l don't have any idea how or who can fix it. Want to show you what they did but I can't figure out how to get the picture on this phone !!!! She said bcs of medication I have been using, so much of my hair has come out to go shorter on top or spike it, will only show bald spots. Additional tip. If you scoop out the wax using the top of your fingernail, you will have less product trapped underneath, meaning you use less of it at a time. Thus saving money in the long run.

This turned out very nice. I have leukemia and have went through chemo a few times. Had my SCT and my hair came back black with a really nice shiny gray to it. I've been letting it grow out but, basically have about the same hairstyle as you. Each haircut over the past year, I've had them cut it to train my bangs to go long to one side. They reach my non existing brows now. lol I love the color/highlights in your hair and this is basically the style I'm going for. I just need to get in now to cut/style and color/highlight. That can be so frustrating! I’d recommend, bringing in a picture next time to show your stylist....either of yourself when it was the right shape or the picture you originally showed her. Tell her what you feel is different about your current cut than what is pictured....hopefully that will help. My stylist always says a picture speaks volumes!😘

Favorite way to do your cut!! Gosh I wish my hair stylist would be able to color the back of my hair short like yours, she says she will get more of a polka dot look so does not do it,, but when colored I do get much more body in my hair,!! VERY CUTE hair today! Blessings

My girl says my natural color is almost the same as yours. I dont think, I can do the Blonde since my hair is so fragile. Im afraid of losing more. Im thinking of having caramel highlights. I really love the way, your hair is highlighted. I hope, I can get a similar result, once my hair is a little bit longer again. I‘ve been puzzling for a while, about what to do with it. I cut it super short, to get rid of the dyed black, which was starting to look a little harsh on me, now that I get older...but I can’t leave it natural, because of all the white hairs, that have crept in, over the last couple years. This might just be the perfect solution 🙂

Sharalee, you look great no matter what you do with your hair, however spikes are a dated look. I really like this look so much more on you, I wear my hair now exactly as you have it in this video as well. You look much younger with a smoother yet pieced out look. I hope you can strike a compromise between the two. We all get into habits. no doubt about it, but sometimes change is a good thing. Your hairdresser is a gem....we need more like her. Hi, I think spikes can be a dated look, but not if you modernize. Like the singer Pink, or Miley Cyrus, they have modern spikey styles. The trick is you only spike part of it, and do a softer/flat look elsewhere. My mantra is ‘up in back, forward in front’ so it gives this cool look that stays modern. Anyway, that’s my two cents!

I have a very similar haircut but my hair is thin and fine. Im looking for a good product that will allow me to get the same texture. Where can i get the Joy dry wax you used? Will it make my hair greasy? I have tried SO MANY different products but they wont keep my style in place. It always ends up going flat. The one time i found one that worked, they quit making it. What would you recommend? Im always careful not to use too much so not to weigh my hair down.

Oh yes, I know, the struggle is real!! I have heard from many that have the same hair type as you that the Enjoy Dry Wax has worked well for them. It does not make the hair greasy at all and, as long as you are careful not to use too much, it also won’t weigh the hair down. Recently, a subscriber told me she’s also had great success with the Enjoy Clay on her fine hair. Yes, Switzerland is really very beautiful and full of diversity! You remember to this photo which I sent you some weeks ago via FB? With these blue/lila lavender blossoms and behind the blue lake 'Lago Maggiore'. This is a photo from our garden in the south of Switzerland (frontier to Italy), in the canton TICINO, where it is the same climat and vegetation like in Italy. We lived there until before 3 years. Now my husband and I live in the north of Switzerland, where it is also nice with much mountains and snow during wintertime. Have a Wonderful and happy day ! ❤

Looks great...as usual. Took photo of you and the spike style to my last appointment and my stylist did a great job. Waiting on highlights now. My hair is very dark brown and I’d like the highlight to brighten it a bit. Now if I can just get cowlick under control 😢. It definitely takes a technique to get it looking right.
