Stop trying to figure out if ppl are telling the truth about their lives. They wouldn’t make a movie on him if it wasn’t true. Point of the movie is the feds had such a hard time chasing him cat and mouse, bc he was so good at what he did. So good, that he got to work for them. Very interesting. He was locked up n fucked up and look where he is now. Put his talent to use.

Dude lied about his whole story and has successfully conned you. You realize this guy has been caught lying about his story since since the 80's, prior to when the movie was made. Its also insanely naive to think a production company cares if a story is true or not, they are in the buisness of making money and the story was still entertaining. To be honest, he really is a great con though. Having the ability to make up a lie and make money off of it for 40 years is pretty remarkable.
