Share Internet from PC to PC via Ethernet/LAN cable

Easy and straight to the point. I used the unlimited data WiFi connection from my phone, connected the laptop with it as it’s the only one being able to use WiFi and used it as a bridge to connect the other PC to the Internet!

Or you could've just connected your phone to your pc via USB and then hit "USB tethering" in USB settings. Doesn't get any simpler than that.

Well, I am another guy who just can not thank you enough. I just received Starlink, and the WIFI is very weak for a Brick home. So I bought the RJ45 connection cable. It was bent a bit and would not connect. So I used a laptop to receive the WIFI signal and bridged to my plan cable, connected to my home network. Great, it Works, I have a new connection cable on order. I need a plan cable to connect to a new Mesh network. You made my week. Thank You for your Video.

This is a great video that shows how to do things correctly, but I’d like to include the fact that bridging connections with method 1 will greatly reduce data transfer speed. It can depend on your network card but this speed loss is mostly a limitation with windows and has been getting worse with time. Method 2 is generally unaffected by this loss in speed and is my preferred method. If you do not have the dropdown shown in method 2, don’t worry as it’s not needed in newer versions of windows.

Thanks heaps, both methods worked for me with a little trial and error. I noticed that the bridged connection was a much slower internet connection for both devices and so went with option 2 using shared wifi connection :)

love you soo much bro...actually just now i built a new pc (lower end pc) and the mother board by default had only ethernet facility and no wifi card with it.. so i had no idea how to update all the necessary drivers on it without help of internet..i even tried connecting my ethernet cable from the router to the pc directly, but still no internet...then i used my laptop (which was connected to my wifi) and used the bridge connection and shared my laptops internet to pc via ethernet, and the next second , i got internet via LAN to my PC without doing any configuration and i was able t download all the drivers from my PC directly.....thank you soo much once again 💕💞💓💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Thank you. In my case, the first option didn't work: as soon as I connected the ethernet cable to the host the internet went off. I went for the second option and worked fine, without any of the DHCP thing. Great video.

Helpful. Thanks. Having varied results though. On 2 different setups, bridge worked on none. Sharing worked flawlessly on one, but the other needed manual static ip. Then there is the issue of loosing connection after rebooting. There is a workaround for that though. In short alter a registry setting to make it persistent, and setting the Internet Connection Sharing service to start automatically.

Thanks this is very useful when I'm working with scrap pc's I don't have a ethernet connection on my room but I have my laptop connected to my wifi and a ethernet wire going to the scrap pc this gets the job done

My issue was it wouldn't create the bridge for some reason but when trying to follow your directions it eventually let me do it LOL I think maybe having the 2 computers connected through ethernet already prevents it from creating the bridge in win10 but once I got that created it shared the connection.
